What can non-US F-35 users realistically do to become more independent from Murica in their use?

our intelligent friends across the pond still believe in the killswitch BRICS meme huh?

Remind them you can stop suppling them with components

No, but we believe that regardless of killswitch, users of foreign combat aircraft rely on the exporter for parts and software updates. Also kill switch doesn't have to be physical and if you don't have sauce code you won't know.

This. Become an integral part of their own supply chain, rack up unnecessary flight hours and volunteer to join training programmes, then develop seniority to place all the institutional knowledge in your hands.

what happens if the dutch decide not to make any more flaps?
>>
>>65008593
this plane is mostly British
>>
>>65008593
they lose the contract and it goes to someone in the states and the dutch are put on a shitlist, like a bad faith actor should be treated
>>

AFAIK, BAE has several facilities in the US.
>>
>>65008049
Buy French since their planes don't have American parts in them.

Unless you're Pakistan or some African country the Chinks won't sell you planes.

The Yurofighter and Gripen are both compromised having a ton of US parts.

Rolls Royce also. They have the lift fan work, but they have that because they bought out Allison in the great peace dividend consolidation era, as they’re the ones who developed the thing originally. A lot of the higher end work done by foreign owned companies on American defense programs does have to be done stateside, and they face a lot of scrutiny and oversight. Safran for example seems to have been picked as the landing gear subcontractor for the landing gear on F-47, but they’re getting side eye from Congress over past work with China so who knows if that stands.

lmao, what is this cope?

Yeah, truly on a shitlist. Next you'll make up an F-35 order cancellation in your head.

They still do you fucking moron.

"You will do nothing, because you are 400 pounds and you ride, in a rascal. You are a dysgenic mass of mulatto people. You are a failing empire that has nothing left to contribute, and when it is imposed upon you again, you will simply go "oh well, thats the way things are" and you might as well turn all those guns on yourselves, cause you will never use them, I am SICK of America and I'm sick of Americans. Go n eat your bucket of fried chicken; you're not gonna do shit, because you are fat, n lazy, n feminine n dysgenic. That is it, you are a race of fused white mutants, sit down your time is over

Then someone else in the EU makes the flaps for planes intended for EU use. What, did you think planes built for the US depended on foreign parts? Do you even know how procurement works?

Abandon the legal frameworks around intellectual "property" and adversial interoperability development so companies can start openly reverse engineering the interfaces and systems
America is basically turning into an oligarchy-based autocratic regime anyways so anyone that actually wants Freedom best unhitch their wagon (painted or not) from that nightmarish child-rapist clown show.
But alas, the same forces that made America the way it is now have their parasitic systems, actors and tendrils in Europe and elsewhere as well.
Good piece about the "adversarial interoperability/de-enshittification" paradigm possibility:

It's a little psychotic but the core of what he says about America being a declining empire is simply true, even if his engagement with this truth is so crass and jilted it might as well be worth less than nothing.
If you're american and especially if you're right wing but still somewhat politically sapient rather than the kind of "patriotic" acquiscent blob that makes up modern russia I highly reccomend you take a long hard look at what is hapoening with America and its politics, economic power structures and society itself.

All weapons in the world matter little if your state capacity has been degraded to the level of a mocking effigy.
I dont think flr a second this shit isnt happening here in Europe so please recuse yourself on thinking I'm being arrogant and haughty about this, I really do mean this honestly and in best intention and desire for truthfulness without artifice.

The US is a declining Empire like how the Roman Empire was in decline in the 300s

anon...
what do you think "joint" strike fighter means?
>>
>>65011105
>the core of what he says about america being a declining empire is simply true.
it isn't, because the US is not an empire and it's powerstructure and levers of power in no way resembles that of an empire.

dipshits call the US an empire solely so they can make retarded comparisons to empires of old falling and give their retarded begging for US downfall some fake air of ancient wisdom or legitimacy.
>>
>>65008049
they dont need to
the whole point of the program is to spread manufacturing to reduce cost
>>

U mad?
>>
>>65011202

it means different branches of the US armed forces, are you retarded
>>
>>65008049
Make their own damn jets? I mean there have been various Euro 5th gen projects over the years. Just it's been so long they are now retroactively bumping them up to "6th gen" projects. Guess they will be bumped to 7th gen projects once actual 6th gens become common in US/Chinese fleets. And still be renderings.

Also they just didn't need to make their own new jets when the point of the F-35 was it was jointly EU developed in the first place, it sort of is partially theirs to start with. It's more a matter of France and co who didn't participate still not having their own 5th gen solutions. To which we can say "not our problem lol."
>>
>>65011202
It means all of the US will use the same multirole fighter with differences for the different branches.

It has nothing to do with Europe, and Europe wouldn't buy the plane if some weird shit like that was in the sales brochure.

Dumbass, America can build and entire F-35 by itself, it's just that companies in partner nations are allowed to bid for contracts on parts. Like for instance Italy makes most F-35C landing gear. They are TOLD how to make them by US manufacturers that can also do that.
>>
>>65008189
First off foreign F-35 users are *less* dependant on the US than the other way around. The US is incapable of producing half the stuff that makes the factory do it's thing and half the stuff in the plane is either in part or fully made here.

Secondly foreign material exploitation on a *hostile* nations captured equipment often yields massive amounts of reverse engineering potential. Now yes, we may have to pretend to be allies with the US for another 10-15 years, but in the meantime we get all the maintenance manuals and so on. So if there is one, there's no excuse for not finding it.

Software wise it's all open architecture. It's not like an airbus where using a specific side stick locks you into a flight computer and autopilot.

Stop believing the burger slop. The US might be powerful against an individual country, but all of Europe can take them. We basically have a giant FOB in Canada ready to go. The only sad thing is once we get a compliant president into office again they'll just fold and there's never going to be hostilities anyway.
>>
>>65012442
You're so close. The US can't into robotics. Look at kuka, fanuc, abb and then look at what some multiple choice test taker in america can assemble. 0.01mm repeatable accuracy vs 0.1mm
>>
>>65008057
The US has shown nothing but contempt and hostility towards Europe for over a year. No Euro nation will ever buy into a top tier weapons program like the F-35 ever again.
>>
>>65008049
The hardest part would be the engines, you need to be able to build your own.

>>65008057
It's about access to parts if the US continues down the path to facism.
