Whats the BOTH most accurate and durable (can handle steady input of +p and maybe even the odd .45 super) double stack hammer fired .45 acp i can get? Im torn between a couple different ones and want to hear from some owners that fit these criteria

USP

How about mk23 instead? Size is not a concern as its not a concealed carry piece, it will a bedside/home defense gun and a range toy. Would the extra $1000 be worth it or are they similarly tanky so it wont last like 20,000 extra rounds? Mk23 is one of the ones i was considering

USP if you're just gonna use it for bedside, Mk23 if you wanna carry it/tacticool it. Just be sure to get the laser light kit for both.

A single shot, like a Contender or a Freedom Arms model 2008. Assuming you mean a semi-auto, Mk23 hands down.

Grok, generate a scene of the Seinfeld characters arguing over which carry gun is the best.

This show was so fucking stupid, I have no idea why anyone found it enjoyable.
>>
>>65008483
Shouldn't that be the other way around?

USP45 Elite or Mk23. This problem has been solved for a very long time.

I have EDC'd an FNX45T for about 5 years now. Works for me, I shoot very hot 180 and 135grn buffalo bore loads for my main carry load.

Its going about 1650fps, its got some ass behind it and they're the weird torx head rounds that tumble and yaw when they impact soft targets. Its not a bear gun, I work innacity.

>its going about 1650 ft/s
How much of that does it instantly lose in any target?

I dont know if you know this but the whole idea behind using projectile weapons is to dump the projectiles' energy into the target as quickly as possible to incapacitate or destroy it.
>>
>>65013127
That’s true at rifle velocities where you can expect lots of medium-expansion damage surrounding the wound channel in addition to the wound channel itself, but handgun rounds inflict damage primarily by simply poking or crushing a path through things. Adequate penetration, projectile diameter, and controllability are key for handgun use.
