i'm interested in getting one simply out of interest, but i've seen mixed reviews, yet reviews are always skewed by retards
i just wanna know what i'm getting into, and if its worth it at all

I have three of them. One of them is great in the dark. It's like using an open AK leave site. Yeah they work.

1-2 moa dots are always useful when many irons are 5+

>no reason to use a dot over irons in any world
dots are both more accurate than irons, faster than irons and easier to shoot with both eyes open than irons
>>
>>65010755
I have one. I works, but if you move your head at all then you completely lose your sight picture. Not much of an advantage over a dot, especially one that automatically adjusts and has shake awake. And now I’m starting to think that those kind of dots don’t have much of an advantage over an LPVO, except for weight typically (if you’re a total faggot and wasted $1k on an eotech dot sight that weighs a pound then I can’t help you)

If you want something that's not irons, and you want something unmagnified, and you have astigmatism and can't use red dots, and you don't want to pay the EOTech Tactilarp Call of Duty tax, and you want something made in the USA, this is your option.

For most, they can be replaced by a 1x prism (e.g. Primary Arms, who at least is an American company with American customer support)

the currently accepted "standard" for great sights is literally three dots of paint on little protrusions from the top of a gun.
Anything that doesn't actively impede your vision should be either good enough or better than irons.

The shooting experience was bad enough that I couldn't stomach it even as a unique gimmick to play around with, and I replaced it with a cheapo chongnese dot

It does have infinite eye relief, and magically it also lets you target focus, the reticle is essentially at an infinite plane. But using it on a pistol is very challenging because at arm's length the slightest movement puts the triangle tip out of the window, so most of the time you're aiming where you think the triangle terminates, invisibly in open space, or you you are aiming through the yellow background and can't see the target. Both are doable, just not instinctively intuitive or as accurate as a floating dot over nothing

It would probably be pretty good on a rifle where your head is stably locked to the optic

If you want to play with a triangle you can find a used RMR dual illuminated or an old Leupold Deltapoint first gen. Though both those also suck for other reasons

Oh also I tried to return the optic a week after I got it but the company said no because it had been mounted lol so now I have another shelf occupier for eternity

Oh also another problem I just remembered is, you basically have to shoot it in the same lighting as the target, meaning not from shadow and not with different light at the target. If you shoot from shadow not enough light gets into the fiber optic collector and it becomes a brown blob you (I) can barely make out. But in direct sunlight it's extremely easy to pick up the reticle over the blaring neon background. This sucks because 95% of the time I shoot from a covered shooting line into sunlight
>>
>>65015354
>so now I have another shelf occupier for eternity

>>65018787
it doesnt have any sight raidus.its basically if the gun is lined up you have a sightpicture. ifs its slightly off you cant see shit. theres no forgiveness like a reddot.
>>
>>65018718
it's more like a red dot or holosun that uses a projected reticle.
>>
>>65018718
Its basically a hybrid of an OEG and a holographic sight. Infinite eye relief, but opaque so shooting with both eyes open works best.
>>
>>65019077
it looks like you're supposed to 6 o'clock hold it. the triangle gives you a precise aim point, like an acog chevron, but if you needed to quickly center mass shoot you have a large black area you can just put center mass, like how if you are within 300 meters you're supposed to just put red on the bad guy and shoot with an acog. the chevron/triangle is so you have both a specific aiming point and a large quick dot in one

ok its like this
sights lined up vs gun tilted wrong
you cant see the front sight through the rear notch
if the gun isnt held correctly what you see through the see all is useless. its only going to give you a usable sight picture from a specific angle.

Trijicon.
>>
>>65022426
just about any red dot is fine, and like the other anon said, Trijicon is great
meprolight also has a ton of tritium & fiberoptic sights too, but they're expensive as fuck for what you get

They aren't.
But they are in the ballpark of what >>65022242 suggested.
I was just confirming my theory posted here>>65022267.

Which one?
The top one is obviously one of those Colt carry handle knockoffs from a while back.
The other is supposed to be a clone of the Leupold MkIVCQ/T.

An aside, got the email saying my "SeeAll MkII" has been shipped, will take pics when it shows.

yeah their Mk3 Pistol Sight, which i'd put on some cheapo RMR picatinny mount myself
i don't care if its tritium, since in daytime it'd look as bright with the fiberoptic anyway (on account of not being a dot/scope)

i think i will get it later, but not any time soon as i've gotten a laser for one of my pistols a few days ago
i wanna get more curio optics, i barely even have any at all to begin with
