are any of them decent?
>>65014682No. They're all too nondeterministic. Just get something with a normal key or a pin code. Biometric is a pointless gimmick in that application. Why would you even want it?
>>65014682>biometricNo.However, the ones with Simplex type mechanical locks are good. There's no batteries to go bad, they're very fast and easy to operate. They won't lock you out on a timer if you fumble the combo under stress. They come in all sorts of sizes and shapes...handguns, long guns, etc.

>>65014682I gotcha bio metrics right here
>>65014682didn't the lockpicking lawyer guy prove that basically every biometric lock is an overpriced piece of shit that can be defeated with a piece of soda bottle and they're basically just scams with a $2 finger print reader on like $0.50 cents worth of chinese lock?
>>65015229hence, the thread
>>65015229Yeah in principle if something used one of the sensors like high end smart phones or the like have it'd be ok, good enough to stop truly little hands which is the only real point such a safe. By 7 or 8 kids are old enough to be learning the safety basics. But really young kids can be astonishingly inquisitive sometimes and I wouldn't trust these chinesium pieces of shit to keep out even a 4 year old.Again just have some sort of normal lock, or pin pad or something. Biometrics just isn't useful in this application anyway.
