I had an idea. Is there some kind of device that could be loaded with something common like a firecracker and uses that to shoot a separately loaded projectile?

It used plastic casings with a rubber crown to hold a BB in place and the primer pocket fit a cut up snap pistol ring cup. The setup is basically a real round but no powder needed. It was still battery powered which only operated the action to cycle. No snap cap no shooting.It was cool as hell and sounded dope when buddies used it but good luck finding all of the cases again.
