How did the Chinese manage to get a Leopard 2 and a T-14 Armata?
>>65015386With the amount of cash Russia owes china, probably from them and if I were a betting man I’d say the Leo was a captured Ukrainian one that was in good enough shape to give to them too. Both are repainted, probably done in china
>>65015386>1/9 shartmartas wound up in a chinese museumKek they're not even pretending anymore.
>>65015386Gets me wondering; are the Russians handing out examples of captured western equipment to their allies? Are there Leopards, Bradleys and Abrams getting taken apart by Norks at this very moment?
>>65015564no they're garbage why would they inspect garbage
>>65015409They look like fake copies, probably sheet metal
>>65015386Mockups built on actual moving vehicles. There is a university in China that's specialized in making replicas like this. They're non-functional as combat vehicles and possess no armor whatsoever. They're just for show.
>>65016281>Bradley's stablistation, fire suppression systems and spall liner. >The US drives/engines would be of intrest >Already are using a copy of the leopards engine and drive so there is not much there they would want. >APFSDS rounds would be great since their 125mm guns could probably use a direct copy if they really can use one piece ammo.>Challenger 2's armor would probably be worth looking at.
>>65016314>They're non-functional as combat vehiclesSounds like a perfect clone of the Armata at least.
There is a hook recessed into the glacis of the "leopard". It seems to be a replica of a newer leopard as 2a7 and older models have protruding track covers and other lights. Some export variants look like this as well; greece, spain and sweden have a reinforced glacis as well.
>>65015386>Leopard 2>(1, damaged and captured) (2, damaged and captured) (1, damaged and captured)https://www.oryxspioenkop.com/2022/02/attack-on-europe-documenting-ukrainian.htmlThey brought both from Russia.
>>65016466>>Leopard 2>>(1, damaged and captured) (2, damaged and captured) (1, damaged and captured)Does it also say>pawned of to chinaor whatThere are big holes in the glacis, one for a lifting hook. That's obviously a copy
>>65016483I'm no tank autist so if the hook is wrong then it might be a mock-up.As for Russia getting desperate enough to sell anything that can be moved it wouldn't be the first time.
>>65016489Selling is probably unlikely but letting allies look around captured vehicals or even in the Norks case giving one to them wouldn't be out of place. Assuming Russia had more than one then there really isn't a reason not to give access to someone like the Norks and you better have a damn good excuse if you don't. It would be lke the US capturing a few Tiger 2s and refusing to let the UK look them over.
>>65016295Yeah I think you are right, the track connectors and other fittings look off
>>65015386There's something off on that Leo, looks like some kind of mockup
