Do yuropoors still make guns with off hand shooting stock profiles? I think lever actions and shotguns are the only guns made in the US that still largely have an offhand shooting stock profile and that whole height above comb with an optic issue. most semi autos or bolt guns have an AR or "American" style stock that's designed for shooting prone and with an optic. Like the comb and buttplate height is way higher, almost the same height as the receiver, whereas on a lever action or a shotgun the comb is way lower so your eye will be inline with the top of the receiver for the bead or a very low set of irons and the stock will drop more at the buttstock so it can actually go in your shoulder and not on your collar bone. hell ARs you need to either goose neck, have the stock half way over your collar bone or have a shit cheek weld. even modern lever guns use like an 1886/1892 profile stock which has less drop at the buttplate than an 1866/1873 profile stock which is more similar to flintlock era rifles and has an extreme drop at the buttplate for offhand shooting to the point where they almost aren't possible to shoot prone
>>65015508They do, for driven hunts. In most countries where people are allowed to own guns, they're primarily motivated by hunting. Going to the range is a very American phenomenon especially for center-fire
>>65015722>Going to the range is a very American phenomenon especially for center-fireNot entirely wrong but we have to shoot our pistols too - we do that at the range then.
>>65019207you fags are allowed to have mall ninja shotguns?
>>6501924811½" barrel length shotguns are ok without jumping any extra loops
>>65019551I meant the extended mag
>>65015508Skill issue. I shoot all my deer rifles offhand and none of them droop like some fag yuro guns supposedly do according to you.
>>65019207I'd unironically hunt with pistols if they were legal here. Perhaps a 5-7
>>65019621Why wouldn't weEven the UK doesn't limit shotguns that much
>>65019661and do you hang half the stock off your shoulder homo? Cause I know when I shoot my ARs half that stock is above my collar boneRugers are starting to come with hump back Monticarlo stocks>>65019796I thought it was a legal thing because you can't import shotguns with an extended mag here
>>65020030Honestly I don't understand where you came from with your question, no trolling. Here in EU we have all the things you have, of course with heavier regulations AND different laws nation by nation, yet over time I did understand that even the USA isn't the same everywhere, like Texas and Cali are neighbors and gun control wise it is like night and day. Rifles with stock styles like that Ruger you posted are still widely in production by CZ, Sako, Merkel (just to name a few) and every shotgun maker offer all the classical style and whatnot. Hell, we can even have US made rifles too, from ARs to bolt and lever guns. And for >>65019248 of course we may have restrictions but shotgus are way less regulated than other guns, probably because it is the n°1 choice for hunting in all EU.
>>65019248Yeah, magazine sizes arent restricted for shotguns except when you go hunting with semiauto shotgun or rifle you have to limit the capacity to 2+1 (or 3+1 for certain species)
>>65019248Most EU countries have better gun laws than some muttland states like commifornia etc.
>>65020030>you can't import shotguns with an extended mag herethat's a US thing. You can't even import in the US ARs and NFA stuff as is.
>>65019207Italian detected (salut)
>>65021781Texas and California are separated by two entire states, have you ever looked at a map?
>>65023112>have you ever looked at a map?Sorry my bad, I've checked and you're right, my apologies. Speaking of which, isn't Arizona also really gun friendly? I remember so, but at this point I may be in the wrong there, too.
>>65021781>Honestly I don't understand where you came from with your question, when semi auto shotguns are imported into the US they can't have extended mads. I remember james reeves being upset he had to buy an extension tube for his mall ninja shotgun >Texas and Cali are neighbors they aren't even in the same time zone. it's like the distance between france and turkey or bongistan and ukraine
>>65023071there's no way he's an eyetalian. doesn't eyetaly ban 5.56 and 9mm. Like they have the retarded ass>no military caliberslaw?
>>65023349>Speaking of which, isn't Arizona also really gun friendly? I remember so, but at this point I may be in the wrong there, too.was. Arizona is a shitty ass desert with only a couple of rivers running through it to make it livable, but since California is objectively the worst state in the country a lot of Californians are moving to Arizona and then voting for the same laws that made California unlivable. this is happening in a lot of states. Boomers elected politicians who made all the blue states terrible, then the boomers move to other states and vote for the same assholes who made their old states bad. Also states like NY and California are only able to keep their population numbers up through immigration from third world countries because no Americans want to live there anymore and the thirdies then vote for the same politicians that made their third world shitholes unlivable. see a mayoral race in minnisota literally being about samali clan based politics from somalia or how jeets in nyc elected a jeet who was born in india and who eats rice with his hands
>>65023649I’m aware of that but I was thinking law enforcement
>>65023649I think they dropped that ban like 10 years ago. It wasn't because military calibers scary, it was to stop soldiers and cops stealing ammo for personal use. With computers and shit probably there's better bookkeeping and such measures isn't needed anymore.
>>65023071>>65023649No that anon is right, I am Italian. About calibers: 5.56 NATO is not allowed but simply as that, we shoot .223Rem in 5.56 guns. That's all. We have really stupid laws in that regard but somehow, we manage also to have workarounds. The most (in)famous is 9x21mm that is the same as 9mm Luger with just a longer case and same OAL so loadings can be identical. That way we can have most of the 9mm pistols (even those made in USA) with just a rebarrel. AND THEN, in 2021, one Italian politician notified at the EU whatever that we were an anomaly in this matter (laughing stock actually) and now even 9mm luger is fully legal. Duh, FUCKING DUH.Two years ago, a manufacturer proofed at the national weapon proofing house, so it can be legally sold, a big fucking .50BMG rifle now we have that also.I don't really know how to say about that. Seems like some laws are like wet paper posters that just need to be poked to fall, but anyway.
>>65025122I remember hearing about italian laws allowing the possession of only a very limited amount of guns and ammo, and having to inform the cops about everything you buy and own and what you do with it. Is that true?
>>65025167Yes sadly that's true, I asked google and made an accurate report about it:The number of guns you can keep at home varies by category:Common Firearms: Maximum of 3 (usually handguns not otherwise classified).Sporting Firearms: Maximum of 12 (classified as such by the National Proof House).Hunting Firearms: Unlimited number.Antique, Rare, or Artistic Firearms: Maximum of 8 (manufactured before 1890 or similar models). To exceed these limits (except for hunting weapons), you must apply for a specific collector's license (licenza di collezione).Limits on AmmunitionThe amount of ammunition you can store is strictly regulated:Handgun/Common Ammunition: Maximum of 200 rounds in total.Rifle/Hunting Ammunition: Maximum of 1,500 rounds in total.Gunpowder: Maximum of 5 kg (for those who reload their own ammunition).Main ObligationsReporting (Denuncia): Every firearm must be reported to the local Police (Questura) or Carabinieri within 72 hours of purchase.Safe Storage: Firearms must be kept with "maximum diligence" to ensure unauthorized persons or minors cannot access them.Air Rifles: Airguns with muzzle energy below 7.5 Joules are considered "low offensive capacity." They do not count toward the limits mentioned above, though you must be of legal age (18+) to buy them.As you can see there the main workaround is the hunting firearms so it is not uncommon here for people to have multiple hunting guns, especially shotguns. Actually for the sport shooter like myself the biggest impact of these laws are the ammo purchases, since we're limited there's no bulk pricing on that, that's why I reload also.Shit sucks but it is what it is.
>>65027365Wouldn't call them pro gun but if you have stricter requirements than EU law, you can always appeal to the directive
