Post your new guns bros. Just picked this T3X CTR in 6.5 up. I’ll put it in a chassis at some point.

>>65022365I haven't bought a gun in more than 2 years
This is the only gun I've bought recently. Comprised of a 1890 Spandau-made Gewehr 1888 action, a June 1907 Springfield Armory-made US M1903 rifle barrel, a 1917-1919 period Rock Island Arsenal-made US M1903 stock, a US Model 1896 Krag-Jorgensen rifle handguard upper barrel band and rear sight, and a British Martini or Long Lee lower sling swivel. I don't know where the lower barrel band came from. This was probably kludged together by Francis Bannerman & Co. out of WW1 surplus/scrap rifle parts and intended to be a drill rifle to sell to poorer military education programs as a substitute for the US M1903 rifle. The magazine has been crudely modified to not need the en-bloc clip of the Gew.88, but it has no notches for a Mauser-style stripper clip so it's just single-round loading. The magazine follower spring was missing when I got it and I managed to find a substitute from my parts box but it's too stiff and only allows two rounds in the magazine. It looks like an alt-history Springfield where the US Army made a different choice in 1892.
>>65024967I would buy that too. Please tell me it is shootable, even with some light hand loads.
>>65025268Maybe. There is a big block dovetailed into the underside of the chamber to receive the front action screw, and the rear screw hole for the rear sight was drilled unnecessarily deep into the barrel, and by my estimation it is more than halfway though the barrel wall.
>>65024967Im sorry, that doesn't look like a Spandau
Full size RXM with a vortex venom. Took it out over the weekend and put a few boxes of ammo through it without issues.
