This would be my first gun. Is it any good / reliable?

The original ones had slides that would blow up. I have no idea if that's been fixed though.

No. Lurk more

Bumping since I heard mixed things about the thunder

Shut your bitch ass lol

It's passable, but it's a cheap derivative of the antiquated Walther PPK, so you could do shitloads better.

This, it's a PPK knock off, but PPK has soul unlike all the plastic bullshit being sold these days.

Save 300 more bucks and buy a PPK and then hit the range dressed like Bond.

it's fine. I had one and probably got through 500 rounds no problem at all before I sold it (to buy a ppk). It's a lot like the ppk in that it's a solidly built, accurate 380 with excellent ergonomics and a strong appetite for finger webbing.

with guns that cheap you have to shoot them enough to gain confidence in their reliability
it's been around forever and it's a knock off of a proven design, so it can be reliable, but at that price you can't bet your life on bersa's quality control right out of the box

It was my first gun. I Iove it but my hands are also kinda small so when I first held one I knew it was sized perfectly. Super easy to clean. I’ve put like 700 rounds through mine now and only had issues on my part when I went without cleaning it for a while and got light primer strikes. Paul Harrell made a great comparison of the PPK and Thunder
