has anyone tried using an air duster can to remove first round pop?
i'd imagine spraying a little of the liquid inside a suppressor would remove enough oxygen to do so
>>
I do that to your moms pussy

Propellant is flammable. You could rig up a CO2 cartridge to purge your suppressor and stop pop though.
>>

huh, didn't actually know it was
the can i got didn't have any bigass warnings other than "don't spray on hot surface" (which i assumed was because generic safety reasons)

It contains Difluoroethane. The flash point is almost -60°F. You are 100% igniting that when firing. If it hasn't already dissipated by the time you aim, leaving you with 1 rnd pop again.

Smokeless powder is a rich mixture because an excess of oxidizer is corrosive. It doesn't matter that dust-off has fuel, since it's the presence of oxygen in the suppressor that causes the pop.
>>
>>65037646
Smokeless does not have oxidizers.
>>
>>65037697
So what, it just burns the ambient oxygen that happened to be in the case when it was assembled? Of course it has an oxidizer.
>>
>>65037697
It 100% does, dumbass.

You guys should take a few chemistry classes and learn what an oxidizer is.
Anyone that says something so stupid as
>Smokeless powder is a rich mixture
obviously knows next to nothing.
>>
>>65037790
>smokeless powder doesn't have oxidizers because nitrocellulose doesn't count because its oxidizer component is inherent to the compound itself.
Shut your fucking assinine mouth, you worthless, contrarian piece of shit.

huffing that shit cures suicidal ideation for several days

You can get "wine preservative" or "gas blanket" cans on Amazon that are either pure CO2 or a blend of inert gases depending on the maker. Ironically, the wine ones will be your cheapest option. Some of them meant for ensuring products or materials don't absorb moisture from the air that gets in the container are FUCKING pricey. Like, I could same-day or next day equivalent shit from Amazon for cheaper pricey. Those cans also come with a "hey retard the can is not empty it's just filled with only gas" label which I find funny. I've yet to try it with a silencer as I use it for its intended purpose, preventing expensive ass 2 part urethanes from soaking up water and doing funny things when you try to use them.

Dude, a bit of fucking water removes first round pop. Seriously, dunk the can in a bucket of water, shake out the excess, and shoot it. No FRP. Or be like the cool kids and squirt some wire pulling gel in there, which is mostly water but doesn't evaporate as fast. This isn't rocket science.
>>

>a bit of fucking water removes first round pop
gotta remember that for when i get a can, thanks
>>
As a suppressorless peasant, what is first round pop? Does the first round not get sound reduction?
>>
>>65037455
You're better off using airsoft nitrogen cartridges to purge your suppressor if you want to go down that route
>>
>>65038443
For the first round, the suppressor is full of fresh air with oxygen, which combusts and makes a popping sound. After that, the oxygen has been burnt out and it's quiet.
>>
>>65038443
oxygen/oils in the suppressor allow the remaining gasses to ignite, creating a loud pop that isn't hearing safe and still affects subsonic ammo
its worse on pistols when it comes to rimfire, and while some suppressor designs basically "don't" have it, all will have it to some degree (especially anything above rimfire)
