Communicating with a drone 500 km away is relatively easy in 2026. Having a short ranged drone in the right place, at the right time, close enough to pursue an enemy drone, AND communicating with it is tricky. If you knew half as much about this as you think that you do, this would have been obvious. (You'd also know about Ukraine's history of "embellishing" things in pursuit of arms sales, which predates Russia's invasion by quite a bit. The timing of this "achievement" and the recent desire for inexpensive, highly capable drone countermeasures are surely coincidental.
