This thing came in on Monday but was busy.
So here is a very very unscientific look at it.

Now, I don't know if that means "assembled in the U.S. of foreign parts" or what.. I mean "Made In America" could mean Mexico or Canada as well as the U.S. The Flag being there I've come to learn does not mean much. (Looking at you, Detroit Automakers) .

It comes in a foam lined plastic box.
Judging by the molded hinges it's really meant for shipment and occasional use.

It fits in there pretty snugly. But really the thing is very light, they probably could have cheaped out and just used bubble wrap, but the box is appreciated.

Under the upper foam is a small Allen/Hex key for adjusting the sights, and an acorn nut in case you want to omit the thumbscrew.

Here it is atop the 22A-1, I may try it on other firearms I have, but that .22 is the one I bought the sight for.

Hmm.
The sharp-eyed among you will notice the thumb-nut is on backwards. The .22A-1 rail is just wide enough that the clamping screw lacks sufficient thread for the thumb-nut to normally engage. If this sight works out I may install it with the acorn nut.

molded hinges, because thru pin piano hinges would take up extra space, and make the paper box bigger, in turn causing you to ship air instead of product
all calculated

And here is an overall.
Not the thumb-nut. I tried getting sight pictures but could not get the phone's camera to cooperate.
It basically shows an inverted "v" with a line bisecting the angle. I assume the POA is the apex. It works fairly well with both eyes open.
Hopefully I'll get to try it this weekend, schedule and weather permitting.

I'm sure they had their reasons, as you suggested.
I'm not unhappy, with it, (as I said they could have just dropped it I a padded mailer) I just found the inclusion of the box to be a nice addition.

Neat! I've always found optical illusion type of sights like this or an Armasight interesting.

A new travel box for camp soap. Nice.

Good thread, hope it survives to the weekend

chevrons and triangles are good sight designs for quick sight acquisition and being able to 6 o'clock hold, but idk what this does that a red dot doesn't
>>
>>65058224
Lower profile, no batteries, predates good reddots battery life by a slight margin. Small 1x prisms didnt exist.
>>
>>65058230
if it was on amazon I'd try it and return it. my .22 has a section of rail, but when I put a red dot on it it's too high to use without making the comb higher and right now the comb riser shit I have on it is perfect for the irons and I don't want to put a quick adjust comb on it.

Legally speaking if you think some cheating is going on you can sic the FTC on companies for potential violations by reporting them.

Works in any light conditions, isn't affected by astigmatism.
>so do tritium irons
Yes.
>>
>>65058224

MUCH lower profile.
I've a cheapo holosight that came with the piece, the Mk2 is tiny by comparison, and does not need batteries.
>>
>>65059127
might be worth it then
>>65058948
I have an astigmatism and red dots aren't that bad and they work in all lighting conditions
>>
>>65060276
I'm glad yours isn't so bad you can't use red dots, mine is.
>>
>>65058224
I've heard that some people really like them on shotguns. It also lets you game the rules around backup optics in 3-gun, since it's technically not a red dot, you can (or at least could) run it on an offset or piggyback with a magnified optic and not have to compete in Open division against $5000 customized Saigas.

I'd be interested if they had like a rib mount
