Previous:>>65001852What are FRTs:Forced Reset Triggers (FRTs) are firearm modifications that allow semi-automatic rifles to fire more rapidly by automatically resetting the trigger after each shot, while still requiring a trigger pull for each round. They increase the rate of fire without converting the firearm into a fully automatic weapon.AR-15 is the most ubiquitous platform with the most amount of options. Other platforms have other nuances.See it action:https://youtube.com/@juiceymedia1https://youtube.com/@poorboyarmshttps://youtube.com/@printshootrepeatDistributors:https://pastebin.com/WPdrbYKy (embed)Frequently updated list of platforms that offer FRT/Super Safety support or are currently in development.https://kg2g.github.io/FRTINFO/webpage/FRTINFO.htmlRecent News:- ASDesigns ARC V2 releases soon- Progressive FRT for AUG in development by AemAer - Gen12/.308 ARC lever teased- G36 Cassette FRT accounced by @BSquaredMfg- Hoffman (super safety developer) launches a support site for legal fees against Rarebreed.http://www.givesendgo.com/hoffmantactical
ARC V2 this Friday!
If FRTs are (obviously) not legally considered machine guns, where's the lawsuits to strike down laws that ban them in some states?
>>65061517Quite a bit of the states that inadvertently ban them do so because they had knee jerk bump stock bans of which the language encompasses what a FRT does.Florida has suits
>>65061517there's states that ban flash hiders and bayonet lugs, whats your point?
https://www.instagram.com/p/DW634yNDjtE/after delaying the P90 FRTs a week because the precut foam used to package them was late to arrive, FN Specialties decided just to ship them packaged in plastic bags like a normal company
>>65063597at least they are shipping, a lot of people have received emails
>>65063603Just January 20th orders today apparently. I ordered on the 21st and I haven't gotten a notification yet
>>65063609I ordered the 20th and didnt get an email yet
>>65063552FRTs were determined to be not machine guns by applying the Cargill decision yet it still seems like gun rights groups are still dragging their feet when it comes to suing states that ban them (and bumpstocks) outright
>>65064405so what? State restrictions supercede any less restrictive federal laws. That's how the US works. You never noticed how there's a different version of everything for California?
ARC V2 releases today and khalash bash is today
>>65061000so 90-180 is normal, 45-90 would be if you want supersafe as your default, and 45-180 is what you get when the first 2 are sold out right?
Just saw this https://marstrigger.com/1022-f-r-t looks really tempting. I've already got a ar15 22 setup working just fine, but I a 10/22 would be neat
>>65064711Pretty much. 45 90 is also ideal for MP5s.
>>65064733seems to work wellhttps://youtu.be/Cu9_gjXwtI8The ART version that was released a while ago was supper finicky, this one seems more reliable as it is a trigger, not just a bar
So is there anything special about the Arc that makes it $250? Like does it do anything a regular SS doesn't.
>>65064913no, it only matters if you want a traditional lever/selector
>>65064405Most effort from gun rights groups is to eliminate state AWB's and registration schemes, carry bans and NFA restrictions,.in that order. It took years for brace ban and bump stock ban to get overturned
>>65064733Advanced reset designs is making a selectable FRT for the 10/22 I'd wait and just buy a tx22 in the meantime for some brrrt
>>65065063>Advanced reset designs is making a selectable FRT for the 10/22source? I've been following them for a while and didnt know this
>>65064913V2 is beefer than v1 which is slightly beefier than SS
Looks like I was able to put in my order early? at 2:58 EST
looks like other vendors have them toohttps://muffintoptactical.com/arc-fire-v2
I kind of want an ARC but I dont really *need* one and I already find my SS hard to control
SCAR mentioned. This is cool since you wont be forced to by that fuck ass lower that's always out of stock
>they fell for the v2>they didn't wait for the v3 that has 4 positions
>>65065482I'll probably buy one of those for fun too, I'm not poor
>>65065482>>65065483also I dont think it's really a v4, just another option in the future
>>65061024Sounds cool but my ar has a geiselle trigger and I don’t feel like dicing that up
>>65065068What does this mean?
>>65065498
>>65065514Sounds like I should wait a little longer until frts mature. I’ve got a mk18 with a non ambi selector. Would LOVE one that could work as a 3 position selector and work with a geiselle trigger
>>65065526you can do that today with many FRTs actually. ARC fire for a while can already do that cut a cut and geiselle support was just established with the Atrius and doesnt need a cut
>>65065533https://atrius.dev/ambidextrous-forced-reset-selector-g-lever/Is this the one you’re talking about? I would’ve preferred non ambi but apparently you don’t actually need an ambi lower to have a an ambi safety right? How does the atrius stack up to the arc fire? I read some not so flattering things about the steel and spring use but I’m not the structural engineer here
>>65065617yeah, also there is a non ambi versionARC is better overall, the lever often breaks on the atrius and that will not happen on the ARC implying you have a low shelf lower. There is now a non ambi version of the ARC V2 as well. Also if you dont want to cut your own trigger, they ofter precut triggers, but of course you can cut your own. Atrius requires no cut.
>>65065654The trigger I want is out of stock :(
>>65065666what trigger do you want?
>>65065670I like the SSA-E
>>65065692deeznuts tactical sells them sometimes as well, check it outhttps://deeznutztactical.com/product-category/arproducts/it is currently out of stock as well though but there are options
>>65065699You’ve been a great help, friend. Do you think now is the time to get an frt or is it better to allow more time for innovation?
>>65065752sure no problem>Do you think now is the time to get an frt or is it better to allow more time for innovation?what features are you expecting? Honestly for me I get everything because at one stroke of a pen, this could be illegal in the future and impossible to get anymore
>>65065800You’re making a great argument. https://sonsoflibertygw.com/product/solgw-stripped-lower-rebellious-stripes-rollmark-blem/I have the non blem version of this lower. If I get the ambi version of the arc will the selector markings on the lower safe/semi/auto correspond to safe/semi/arc? On the 0-90-180 right?
>>65065937yes that is correct, just looked up to see their lower pocket. You should be good to go yeah, while you're at it, get a h2/h3 buffer. You generally need that for FRTs
>>65065957Damn, the fomo got me. I got the ambi arc v2 0-90-180 for that solgw lower with dd mk18 upper. I’ll have to wait for a cut geiselle trigger or maybe I’ll just use the one it came with. Thanks based anon
>>65066052sure np anon, hope you have fun!
G36 FRT update
FRT capable stribog glock lower is available for print
Progressive Trigger AUG for preorderhttps://www.redstarpalmetto.com/product/aug-p-frt-preorder/7QEI34RPPQ7YXIC6ZYNYQRFJ?cp=true&sa=true&sbp=false&q=false
>>65066189Oh shit thats cool. So i'm guessing it won't require any sort of modification to the stock since it'll technically be 'on' all the time?
>>65066198That was my logic as well, doesnt say on the page specifically though
>>65064913To add to this, is this reliable for a shtf gun or is this just the realm of range toy shit?
>>65066247if you mean the ARC then yeah. One of the weakest parts of an FRT is the fact that if you pull too hard, the gun will malfunction. This is because these devices aren't machine guns. There are however, reports from multiple people that the ARC will work when trigger is held. Reports from people in previous threads and from Micahhttps://youtu.be/OmlZENo1P3s
Drop in B&T FRT for SPC & GHM. APC is later>Announcement AMMJ X Cloak Industries X Partezan Triggers 100% drop in B&T trigger for SPC & GHM… APC to follow. NO CUTTING Pre orders opening on cloak’s website. will update once n timing next week. Big thanks to shooters lane the range and store is amazing.
>>65066168perfect for all 12 of the G36 owners in the US
>>65066203>>65066198no hole needed
>>65066052there are also precut herehttps://mid-tierdefense.com/products/precut-ssa-e
>>65066539S5's are $1800. If this releases and actually works, I will pick one up. I've read the S5's are a lot closer to real G36's than Tommy Built's clone's that cost three times as much and have great QC.
>>65066577Man now I'm tempted. I don't even have an AUG
>ARHK works in the mag pull housing, the selector doesn't line up with the markings tho.
>>65066536
>>65068035okay for real this time, where can I get one of these belt feds?
>>65061517Let me rephrase your question:"If abortion is not legally considered murder, where are the lawsuits to end abortion bans in all states?"States are allowed to impose their own regulations. California can ban aluminized-mylar balloons because they short out powerlines. Texas can set the age of consent to 17 even though Arkansas allows sex at 16 -- and the Feds have made it illegal to take a girl across state lines to have sex in a lower age-of-consent jurisdiction (the famous "Mann Act").You can bitch that any gun restriction is a violation of the Second Amendment, but states have been blatantly and severely violating the Second Amendment for at least the last 160 years (post-Civil War Jim Crow laws) and the courts have constantly been letting them get away with it until Heller, McDonald, and now Bruen.Anyway, if you want to file a lawsuit against your state for violating your 2A rights over FRTs, please feel free. Nothing stops you except your ability to pay for lawyers to do it.Meanwhile, lawsuits over magazine capacity, "assault weapons", registration requirements, handgun purchasing permits, and so on have been getting stonewalled by appeals courts and the Supreme Court. So good luck on the FRTs, which were ruled "not machineguns" because of the exact wording of "multiple bullets fired per a single trigger pull" but were NOT ruled "FRT ban laws violate the Second Amendment and therefore are unconstitutional".
CMMG/SuperSafety question: for the antibounce weight slider thingies that take metal rod inserts, am I supposed to use steel rods or do I have to use tungsten rods? Wondering if I can just chop up some cheapo M5 (metric 5mm) bolts that I have on hand instead of having to go find a metals supply place that sells 5mm tungsten. Also, do I epoxy the metal rods in place or do they have to be free to slide?
>>65068598for cmmg bolt and barrels, I dont think any of that matters because the bolt locks into the barrel iirc
>>65068605>>65068598I just realized you meant for 22lr. So tungsten is much heavier, that's the reason. If your build do not need that much weight then sure do steel rods. What's important is the amount of weight. The amount varies by suppressor, ammo etc...
>>65068598>>65068615also yeah epoxy them in place, you dont want the rods to fly around your trigger group
>>65068615>>65068619Thanks, I guess I'll try my cheap way first and see how it all works out. IDK even where to shop for 5mm tungsten rods that won't get me v&.
>>65068820probably at mcmaster
>>65068820Anywhere that sells welding supplies.
>>65068035https://x.com/s3igu2/status/2041122897465421948
>>65068475That's the neat thingYou don't!Most HK21's and 23's on GB and the like are either MG's or sear hosts north of 18kYou get your hands on a parts kit and commission one of ~4 builders to do it for you and it's going to be approaching $10k for the kit and the work combined but at least you can spread out the pain. There are US parts manufacturers-particularly but not limited to the feed tray and parts.PTR has the Portugese HK21 tooling... someone should ask them nicely to make some
>>65067985S5 has a deal with HKparts rn where it's able to get lowers and furniture/accessories cheap - HK will be getting a sizable cut of their SG-36C'sThey're going to be 3d printing the lowers soon as well
