The result is that horse archers often did poorly when attacking into a formation of foot archers. Don't fall for the feigned retreat when it happens. Really, this is something you should be drumming into your troops' heads anyways, because it'll always fuck you over (e.g. Anglo-Saxons vs Normans) it's just that horse archer types love feigned retreat and do it more often.
