Hes even still pretty slow on the shield charm until about mid way through the series iirc and definitely just straight up shootable if you're quick about it. Way better than the guy getting an item of yours and thaumaturgy-ing you from across town making your heart explode or more likely causing you to "randomly" get struck with lightning or spontaneously combust. Otoh if post red court war punished Dresden, let alone post winter court buff Dresden, is after you then you're pretty cooked. Probably literally.
