Drop the loading lever, slide the cylinder pin, let the cylinder roll out. You'd still need a stick or something to pop rounds out, but if you buy just the Kirst ejector for the 1858 you can replace the old cylinder pin with the Kirst ejector/pin combo and have a tool on your gun for popping out cases.
