What is the most /lit/ weapon /k/?
>>65075758Chekov's gun.
The penis mightier
>>65075786Dang it, beat me to the punch.>>65075758I suppose to answer the question at face value, what is /lit/ even like? What is the overall feeling of the board and it's culture? What sort of things do they write and talk about? If it's a gun from a work of fiction then it would depend on the time and setting, plus it could be completely fictional. A Glock wouldn't make sense in the 1940s, and a Colt SAA might feel out of place in a noir set in Europe though it wouldn't be physically impossible. Could even be Ernest Hemmingway's shotgun or Hunter S. Thompson's Luger if we want to get very meta.
>>65075887>what is /lit/ even like? What is the overall feeling of the board and it's culture? What sort of things do they write and talk about? These days? Clickbait, genre fiction, what some person on twitter said, generals for language learning and writing that don't really leak elsewhere, and a decreasing but still-present population of highly educated autists who debate philosophy and theology. I can't really say if it's become better or worse over the years, or if it just dropped in activity like every other board. 10 years ago it was full of people spamming about Infinite Jest and Gravity's Rainbow and Guenon and Shankara and stuff but most of those posters seem to have died or moved on.
>>65075922I guess I can visualize the old guard sitting over a typewriter agonizing over some sort of novel, with a pistol in the drawer. Something old and Noir approved, 1930s vintage. If American probably a Colt Police Positive or Detective in 38 Special. If European probably a 32 ACP such as a Ruby Pistol, FN 1910 or Walther PP.Newfags I don't know. I can't understand what you described but they sound retarded. If one of them walked into a gun store they'd probably get something more "unique" than a Glock. I'm thinking a Canik TP9 with some god awful obnoxiously bright Cerakote finish. Not necessarily a bad gun, but indicative of a terrible owner with less than zero taste.
>>65075758A Perfect Gun for Bananafish
>>65075955Also a classic interwar European automatic pistol typically chambered in 32 ACP (though occasionally 25 or 380).I think it would fit the vibe.

>>65076155Hemingway just out in the Gulf of Mexico blasting sharks with a Thompson off the side of a boat. Guy was basically a /k/ommando.
>>65077754Can't blame him, getting a nice fish 'sharked' by them is pretty frustrating
