Why is it such a great idea for a submarine to launch a UAV?
Is TLAM dead to you.
>>65077228Is English your first language?
>>65077224sneaky sneaky, however as soon as it launches it would be easily seen by anyone with the ability to look so probably not very useful except against narcos or speed boat navies
>>65077230Look up SLCM then your first pic.
>>65077224Oi right ya git, ya send out da drone onna floaty bit an it waits see? Den youz listen reeel quiet like and if youz hear sometink you launch da drone an 'ave a look right? Den if youz see dem gitz youz don't like and wut not youz launch a big boomer at dem den krumpz 'em, ya go dat?!
>>65077224You don't launch it from some sort of tube. You have a box with a cable tied to it in some sort of hull recess, you winch it upwards to the surface (box is positively buoyant), box opens, drone flies out and looks around, then either lands back in box (which closes and is pulled back), or falls into sea and sinks (depending on how disposable you made the drone).
>Where is the submarine?>idk just fire the ASROC at that random drone over there
>>65077224Sneakiness. Subs are super stealthy and drones don't need to be retrieved so if you need recon data in hostile airspace you can sneak the drones in with a sub, transmit the recon data in the clear, and then lawn dart the drone into a rock.
