Buying a 7mm magnum to go hunt a buddy's farm on the plains where you might actually have the chance to take a 400yd shot on a booner is reasonable. Buying a .338 win mag to blast away at 70 yards because you lost a deer after a "good" shot with your Remshit-loaded .30-30 is just wasting money.
