https://files.catbox.moe/3o954m.webmI do sim adjacent.
>>65092854Should have put a trigger warning for British people kek
>>65092845Yeah but you won't like it
Looking at an NXT Gladiator as an upgrade from the Logitech 3D Pro. Seems very feature packed but no clue on its build quality. What else what you recommend around the $150 range?
>>65092963I used to play legacy Falcon 4.0 before this. Don't underestimate my brokeness
>>65092972>NXT GladiatorIt's what I got. NXT Gunfighter and STECS throttle. Before that I used the Thrustmaster T.16000m, which was perfectly serviceable, if a bit lacking in finesse with the throttle. My biggest problem with the STECS is the lack of axis. You have the throttles, which you can split. You have a thumb hat, and you have a rotary that are all axis. But you then have three rotaries that are momentary switches, two four paddles (two on the front and two on the back) that are buttons. Coming off the T.16000m throttle, I used the paddles on that as my brake axis, with the STECS they are now just button presses. I guess I could just spend the money on a good set of pedals. The Thrustmaster pedals I bought were pretty bad. But the Gunfighter? Fantastic stick. It has everything I need on it and it's easily adjusted to whatever spring strength you like. Only thing I'd ask for is just one more HAT, but honestly, I have no idea where it'd go. Would recommend the Gunfighter on the Gladiator base.
>>65092845Falcón BMS FTW
>>65092978>Falcon 4.0Man, I remember playing Falcon 3.0 as a kid.
>>65092963Strike Eagle III is still one of the best sims of all time.
Do there also be a helicopter hardware set for a few hundred?
>>65092845I play a flight sim sim in my head
>>65092845I would have DCS if I could afford a PC that could run it. Maybe one day.
>>65093190could always try one of eagle's other games
>>65092845I play a bit of vtol VR sometimes
>>65093458I've tried that as well at my buddies. Good beer drinking vr fun.
>>65093458VTOL's pretty fun, I was playing cumbersomes F22 mod a week or so ago its fucking great having a jet with vector thrust and super cruise.
I am a shrimple man.
I love falcon bmsId like to buy new F16 hotas but cant find any that is exact replica or doesent cost gazillion bucks. Is used thrustmaster cougar a good option?
Can’t afford a pc to run em
>>65094056Crimson Skies was a lot of fun but a bitch to run on modern systems.
>>65094486That's SimplePlanes
>>65094496I should have clarified I knew it was ShrimplyPlanes but I really now miss Crimson Skies.
on a note how accurate is command modern operations
>>65093190You should get BMS it isn't as hardware intensive and the F16 and F15C are way better than the DCS versions. There's also a dynamic campaign
>>65093028How well can you fly?
>>65095496Honestly not that well. I'm too broke for full HOTAS so it's kind of janky getting the whole thing up well. Still a blast though to play
>>65092902I believe those were Argentinian, anon.
>>65095562It's so brave of you to post in public with autism
>>65094415Winwing (now wincontrol) is your best option. I don't own one, but after looking at virpil, vkb, and many others, I haven't found a better price to features product.
I loved flight sims as a I kid but I can't play them now because they remind me that I never tried to pursue my dream of becoming a naval aviator. Feels bad mang
I usually do helicopters on DCS, kinda bounce back and forth between the MI-8, Ka-50/III and MI-24. Either me or DCS has a bad habit of burning me out for a period of time and in the interim I usually jump into IL-2, either doing WW1 or WW2 stuff for something a little bit lighter. My relationship with flight sim is very on and off again. I have a Virpil throttle, two control panels, stick and CM3 base and a rudder pedal set by VKB with the damper mod. Sometimes I consider selling it all but the moment I do that I'll want to fly again.
>>65095620>https://files.catbox.moe/3o954m.webmIL-2 vs warfighter vs falcon? I usually do MSFS2024 but trying to get into fighting sims
>>65095742I haven't tried BMS or warfighter so I cant give you an honest opinion. DCS isn't bad, it just depends on what you want to do. Granted, its free to download and you do get two modules and a map to try out to see if you like it before you commit further. DCS could be considered a sandbox flight sim, you have the option to control everything. and if you aren't good at controlling everything or enjoy the instant mission generation, you might find yourself taking breaks for periods of time. IL2 is about the same but a little more of, imagine "Arcade Sim". Something you play when you don't want to compromise on realism but want a more relaxed experience.
>>65095595If you're not aged out of it/know you're ineligible you can give it a try. I'm in training now to become one, and made the switch in my late 20s after I had an established career.
And I should add, I felt the same way after playing on DCS or WT.
>>65095595Based. Same.
>>65094502>>65094056God dammit, now I gotta go dust off my XBox for another playthrough...
IL-2 Korea soon I hope
