I've shot thousands of rounds through some shitty ARs over the years and I've only ever had a true "jam" once; a bolt override and with steel cased Tula ammo.
No, ARs don't malfunction often at all unless you've done something profoundly retarded to it (low bar I know)
>>
>>65094340
What a clown
>>
>>65094436
This, though the AR market is so absolutely fucking vast with such a wide array of price points and quality including absolute bubba tier abominations that I'm positive there are ARs out there mismanufactured that are jam-o-matics. Doesn't even mean "cheap", there are poverty builds that are still rock solid in the basic functionality, just without any blingy, but there are definitely scummy companies and stuff being sold at gun shows which some rando dude banged together somehow.

But the AR is popular for good reason, overall it's a very reliable and very standard pattern offering good value for the money. And I say that as a guy who has gotten really into bullpups and like 'em, that doesn't blind me to the AR being the right default choice.
>>
>>65094436
In my experience, its usually some kind of shitty magazine causing a fail to feed sometimes or if it gets knocked out of battery. Rare to get a stovepipe but that's usually a lack of gas from shitty ammo failing to drive it or someone has clogged the whole thing up due to lack of cleaning. But that's really uncommon even in the mid-tier guns and sort of why they're popular.
>>
>>65094529
yeah good point, bad mags isn't uncommon tho ironically can be more of a problem on "nicer" mags which tend to be metal. because the metal lips can bend a little and someone might not notice but it'll mess up feeding whereas a cheap poly mag is either working or its cracked/broken in an impossible to miss way. and all mags are consumables at the end of the day.
>>
>>65094340
Im glad they highlighted the doors he shoots. I would have missed that otherwise.

swiss cheesed by some greasy haired mutt minimum wage security guard in xxxxl cargo pants oof
>>
Is he an actual helmet-wearing reeree? Is this over a reduction in his crayon ration?
>>
>>65094627
You know that guy is gonna have a story to tell everyone, the one greasy mutt that got away with actually being billy badass and doing what billions of minimum wage mutts have dreamed of over the past 100 years.

Good for him I guess lol
>>
>>65094660
If you're doing spastic things in a tard helmet you do deserve to be at least 2/3 retarded
Probably not enough for a parking tag but maybe not let out without a wrangler either
>>
>>65094436
Same. I can count on one hand the issues I've had shooting ARs. A few of them were just dead triggers from super light trigger springs and hard primers.

Although one time a friend brought me his gun to fix and somehow the gas block screws had sheared off in use and caused the bolt to smash an empty casing into the chamber. That was a weird one, but I fixed it.

double feeds typically happen when charging/making condition 1, the weapon like a weak faggot. Some how 2 rounds get in there and jam in like hard enough to require every bit of your strength to clear
>>
>>65094340
Yes AR's are finicky pieces of shit that always jam when they're actually used. It's like they smell fear.

They work fine on the range tho
>>
>>65094340
No, this guy was just a fucking moron. A weird fuck up like that was God protecting the security guard.
That or he was so stupid he put 300blk in it or something

>mutt mutt mutt mutt mutt mutt mutt
Go back to redd/int/ already.

The standard M4 jams are:
>light strike because the chamber is full of sand and the bolt doesn't fully seat
>sand everywhere else because why wouldn't retards dunk it in sand?
>doesn't feed because the magazine is trash, but also full of sand that has caused the follower to stick
>shooter is trash and forces a double feed
>magazine feed lips are trash and double feeds
>blank fire adapter is not secured so the weapon doesn't properly cycle
Pick one or many.
Don't forget a total inability to do basic immediate action and an unwillingness to look into the ejection port to see the malfunction.
>>
>>65095640
So what you’re saying is, sand is very evil and must be killed.
>>
>>65095674
>i hate sand...
>>
>>65095674
I believe he was implying that it's rough and coarse and irritating and it gets everywhere
>>
>>65094340
Retard probably never cleaned the factory preservative out. That's the #1 cause of issues I've seen in ARs.

>if you don't apply just the correct amount of special space grade lubricant the gun will malfunction
>>
How does one get to this point and not be ready to die? I expect anyone who plans a shooting would know that would likely be their last day on the planet so why go out screaming like a bitch?
>>
>>65094436
Well there are some really bad ones, like my bolt was so out of spec it eventually pierced enough primers to jam it from the sheer mass of tiny metal discs getting into places they should not be in
I replaced it with a Brownells and it's been peachy since
>>
>>65094340
ARbabies have been getting btfo left and right recently, whats going on?
>>
>>65097182
Brother, any lube will do. I've used Ballistol all my life and my AR works great.
Just lube your gun the first time you get it before you shoot. Its not hard.
>>
>>65094673
Sure, the guy did his job where police typically cower and incapacitated an active shooter by himself, but the important thing is that you found a way to belittle him over it. Retarded cuck.

It's a sad brown eurocuck upset at being reminded of his insubordinate lifestyle.

Ballistol is alright, the rust protection is mediocre so I only use it for internal parts though. It's good for handguns because it doesn't run like CLP
