Post something you like that you think is cool even if it sucks.>Light tank hull>Fast>Water jets, amphibious with no preparation>Twin 14.5mm in motoriesed turret>7.62mm co ax>6 man squad inside>Barely 25mm resistantI know it sucks and would die against any non Russian IFV but it seems like it would be fun to rampage across Africa or South America in, i just like it. What is your guilty pleasure vehicle?
I like the F-104 and P-39.
>>65096407used to love bmps and especially mtlbs but after seeing the thousands of wrecks in Ukraine and the fate of their occupants some of that love is lost
>>65096407Is it full of piss?
>>65096542No, but it does have 1600 rounds of 14.5mm AP-I which is a significant amount of things that delete people from existing.
>>65096693It does make me wonder why even bother with dual 14.5mms when an autocannon weighs about as much for far more firepower. Surely the norks can figure out an autoloading 25mm gun worth a damn.
>>65096534I rarely ever see BMPs in Russian assaults anymore but towards the end the infantry were riding on fucking TOP of the things instead of sitting inside. That should really tell you something
>>65096700I have spent over a decade of my life wondering about that. Why not a 23mm? They can make every autocannon imaginable and do so in vast numbers for AA but they don't make IFVs, just more 323s with twin 14.5mms. They can easily make a IFV but chose not to, it is just more 323s and more 14.5mm. The OP image is an armored scout vehicle that used to be a Shin'heung amphibious tank with a 85mm gun, they just decided 'nope, this needs a twin 14.5mm turret' not a big gun. Do they know something we don't or is it just cultural autism?I once spent a week trying to count how many KPVs they have and i gave up at 150k. If you ratio that with their population you will know why i gave up.
I have recently been made aware again of arm based GMLS. The benefits of VLS are plentiful and obvious but at the same time it is fucking gay and lacks sovl
>>65096407>Post something you like that you think is cool even if it sucks.Large-caliber cannons. 80mm to 125mm. Anything above autocannons and below artillery. I just like big thing in big tube making big bang fired directly at God's most hateful sonofabitch. In the age of missiles and FPVs it's being quickly left in the dust, but there's something primal to me about>load big cartridge>add optional powder charge>close the breech>aim at the thing you hate>enjoy your teeth rattling in your skull
Since you can choose the type of ammunition for your autocannon, you'll probably be wondering which combination is best.
>>65096744Funny that you can see the Mk.41 in front of the Mk.13.
want it for my garage
>>65096773It's either an Oztralian or a Turk OHP. They chopped the bow and inserted an extra small section, to make room for the 8-cell module (loaded with ESSMs).
>>65096407>guilty pleasure vehicleThat's easy. 4-deuce mortar track. You have no idea how much retard was involved, from planning to deployment. lol
I honestly think that someday the DPRKs 14.5mm autism will be rewarded. In an age of drones it is coming full circle so anyone who has been putting a KPV on anything that moves for over half a century might have real advantage.https://vocaroo.com/1jvGQ2Ha6ZJw
M/85>the belt loosens itself>there is only one size for twigs and fat bastards>the ammo pouch is meant only for metal AK mags, plastic ones are too thick and STANAG mags fall in too deep>ammo pouch is only for 3 mags>the big utility pouch in front is good if you keep it closed>the pack meant for it is just a lazy copy of ALICE, it is a giant ball when you put everything you need into it>the pouch attachment doohikceys are potmetal and worse in every respect to ALICE clips>you can't carry pistol or IFAK, you need the safety standard grenade pouches if you want to have grenades (you are not allowed to carry grenades in any other pouch), everything must be jerry rigged on to it>you can't carry e-tool in any proper way, you just have to jam it somewhereAt least you can carry 12 AT mines with it. God I want one...
>>65096723>towards the end the infantry were riding on fucking TOP of the things instead of sitting inside. That should really tell you somethingconsidering riding on top of BMPs has been standard practice since at least the soviet-afghan war, that tells me absolutely nothing.
>>65096727Greedy westerners.Machine guns are easy to use, produce and train. The primary job is just to eat away fortifications and suppress while where these infantry are released. Heavy machine gun is plenty of fire support for 6 soldiers, and 2x of the 14.5 caliber is even more so.Autocannon blow through fuzes and eats through ammo faster. Then you have to think of HE shell and ke shell switching. One can send fragments to friendly and the other sends sabot pedals.Large cannon should be made on its own platform as tanks, dedicate all the storage to ammo, instead of making every dismount sit next to just a little HE shells. A nork should know carrying shells means the shell will either explode with them when hit or sets off in chamber. The quality of stuff not used by kim is not checked.
>>65096744You know I think VLS is one of those things that's obvious in hindsight and frankly should and could've been invented at least a couple decades before it actually was, but the one armed bandit and the mk 26 are both very fucking cool.
>>65096407This little gal right hereShe was responsible for sparking my interest in tanks, and now, many years later, after becoming more knowledgeable about tanks, planes, ships, guns, weaponry and warfare both old and modern, I still find myself coming back to herShe's the only reason I ever played World of Tanks, and later War Thunder, and you better believe I stuck with her through the onslaught of cheat-fs and dartsShe's the little kid's idea of how to make a tank better (MORE ARMOR AND BIGGER GUN!), she's entirely impractical logistically, tactically, and strategically, and I love every bit of herIf I ever won the lottery, I'd either have a working copy of her built, or try to buy her from the Kubinka Tank Museum and get her restored
>>65096748Same. For this reason I'm drawn to the Carl Gustaf.I once sent an email to the manufacturer asking if they would consider making a reduced diameter, unrifled version for the purpose of "ship to ship line throwing and emergency signalling" (like a 37mm vs 40mm).I'd 100% take out a loan to get one. They never replied. :(

>>65096407Gyrojets, you have no idea how mad it makes me that they never caught on. I want a 70mm shoulder-mounted Gyrojet system so bad it hurts
