which blade shape is best or self defense?
>>65100907the cold steel voyager xl line is on sale for under $44 and i want to pick one for self defense. they have a bunch of different shapes and i dont know which one to get. im not a trained knife fighter and my primary defense would be running away like a bitch from everything so this would just be a last resort tool.
this vaquero has fully serrated blade which seems ideal. thoughts?
The knife I carry for people is a cheap shank with a sheath that's very nice in its price range. I've bought more expensive knives with worse sheaths. People don't think about the sheath enough but even if you absolutely expect to use a weapon most of what you'll be doing is carrying it. Of course the whole point of the thing is really so I can get to my gun.CS's Voyager line is reasonably solid if that's what you're married to, you can get whatever shape appeals to you most because they'll all be functionally identical. Where are you seeing them on sale?
>>65100907i personally carry a glock brand glock knife for opening boxes and a glock brand glock glock for self defense

>>65100907Fixed blade knife, 4-6 inches, has a design that supports both stabs and cuts. I'm very fond of trailing points like these three I'm about to link, but other shapes can work too.https://www.bladehq.com/item--Spyderco-Bow-River-Fixed-Blade--85407https://www.bladehq.com/item--QSP-Viper-QS166-C2--218051https://www.bladehq.com/item--CRKT-Clever-Girl-Fixed-Blade-Knife--34376
