Assuming semi auto rifles disappeared overnight in the US, what would replace them in the hypertactical larperator sphere? Would handguns manage to fill that niche or would manually operated rifles rise in popularity? While we’re on the subject, and for the sake of thread longevity, what’s the strangest gun law and/or workaround to said gun law in your jurisdiction?
>>
>>65101858
God have mercy the pig cops stupid enough to follow the order to go home to home to try and confiscate our constitution rights.
>>
tacticool lever actions because they're the most american
>>
Oh look The bots are data mining this question again.
>>
garage built open bolt submachine guns. AR15s and AKs converted to full auto since semi is illegal now so fuck it. wish.com drones with pipebombas strapped to them. And twelve-pounder cannons as the founding fathers intended.

>minors can conceal carry
We also get to drive at 14.
>blasted by a middle schooler you tried to car jack
This is completely legal in my state.

Did God suddenly magic them?

I want to see people come out with guns that get around pistol grip bans by not having a grip.

>strangest gun law and/or workaround to said gun law in your jurisdiction?

Nunchuks were illegal until a few years ago. But even before they were legal they were openly sold at swap meets patrolled by off-duty cops.

If a human threatens you with a deadly weapon you can blast them, but if a pack of feral dogs threatens you, you can't blast them unless they actually touch you.

Arson of an occupied structure is on the short list of things you can blast people for. Occupied structure includes any building or vehicle people are or are likely to be in or near, and it always includes any dwelling.

2028, you're gonna see a lot of new bans

They're all strange because it clearly states SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED.
>>

>but if a pack of feral dogs threatens you, you can't blast them unless they actually touch you.
we've got the same thing but we are so rural that everyone knows that if you have to blast some wild dogs (actually really scary real wild dogs) you blast them and don't call anyone at all.

"If Cabela's folds and pulls a Bill Ruger to side with the feds, what can they stock that will still shuck your ameribucks?"

NO
>>
>>65101986
Flea markets. The county/state mines them for direct injection cash so cops walk by all the gravity knives and other marginally legal to illegal shit. 5 foot down the road they'll call SWAT for selling the same thing. Also at the flea markets in NY cops straight shake down brown/foreign/strange people because they ALWAYS find something.

>what is SCOTUS
Trump could get us into a nuclear war, nothing will ever stain the SCOTUS he put in place, even if the Republicans lost every seat in Congress and the House they simply can't get past SCOTUS.
>>
>>65101858
(because i understand the point of the thread isn't to go "BUT MUH GARAGE GUNS INFRINGEMENT!!!!!")

lever guns, pump action rifles, trigger operated rifles, and other wacky shit would take over
handguns would fill-in for the most part until the industry makes a ton of new designs, but theres only so much you can do with a mag-in-grip pistol

you'd see a lot more shotguns with higher capacity to length too, like bullpups & multi-tube mechanisms
short shell shotguns would probably become the new niche overnight
>>
>>65101858
>manage to fill that niche or would manually operated rifles rise in popularity?
All the mad minute enfield tea and crumpeters.
Tube shotguns already have an impressive reloading method where you grab 4 shells of a rack at a time and jam them in.
Personally I want to see AOW birdshead break action side by side "doom supershotty" athletic larperators who fire and reload while sprinting diagonally and circle strafing.
>>
>>65101866
Why do you assume confiscation would be the only tactic? What if instead, the government just decided to shut down your bank accounts and have you fired and unemployable until you comply?
>>
>>65102069
The cops can't prove you weren't bit as clothing damage or injuries are not a requirement.

Truly, a question for the ages.

To do this they would need a registry. They can also just issue a warrant and then arrest you next time you get pulled over for some BS, go to the DMV for something, go to court for something, etc. They'll get you sooner or later.

Registries must be resisted at all costs, they have lea to confiscation in the vast majority of countries where they were implemented (rare cases like Switzerland being the exceptions).
>>
>>65102683
Demoshits literally want to just add as many more seats to the SCOTUS as they want until they get what they want. Just like how they want DC to have electoral votes. Seriously, Demosharts just voted for their "temporary measure" to give them a 9 to 1 advantage in Virgina. Demoshits have no morals and they hate you.
>>
>>65101858
Assuming semi-autos literally just magically disappeared and any attempt to make a new one also magically disappeared, I'd assume pump action shotguns would comeback as the primary civilian gun and larp would look less like special forces movies and more like 80's cop films (kino)
>>
>>65103050
Yeah, which is why the only appropriate response is through violence.
>>
>>65102753
There's already a de facto registry, just separated into two documents you're not supposed to consult at the same time.
>>
>>65103173
How does that "registry" handle all the guns transferred between private parties, or made at home?
>>
>>65101858
>Assuming semi auto rifles disappeared overnight in the US, what would replace them in the hypertactical larperator sphere?
Now you understand the Jeff Cooper Scout Rifle concept, without understanding the Jeff Cooper Scout Rifle concept.
>>
>>65103196
It just does, ok!
>>
OP is a massive faggot but anyway the reality is that Republicans wont magically become democrats and then vote against guns, Fairfax is really desperate to shove the new redistricting plan in because they want to drive their rivals out of the state so they make life worse for them and ensure they dont get a foothold in the state again. The whole point of all this bullshit is that theyre desperate to create a foothold so key states dont flip on them again when they inevitably fuck up like they did during Biden.
>>
>>65103251
Not what I was trying to get at, but ok. Just wanted to entertain a thought exercise of mine. Jeez.
>>
>>65103196
it's funny how here in Virginia we just got rid of the required FFL transfer for private sales, right before the wave of shitty democrap laws
>>
>>65101858
I don’t think semi autos would be miraculously banned overnight, but even in total shitholes like New York and Canada they can still have semi auto rifles. The niches of an outright by name AR/AK ban would probably be filled by similar intermediate cartridge rifles that skirt the laws by being unknown by retarded politicians i.e. the mini 14, VZ-58, SKS, and the US market being what it is I’m sure everyone would be sniffing out loopholes like flies on shit.

However, in the case that every semi auto rifle does get banned overnight, i feel like handguns and pump shotguns would fill the tactical niche. I can see it now, every larperator or guy trying to sell you something would hit you with the “b-b-but 7 yards and shotguns will remove a chunk of shit” argument.

As much of a cliched and dramatic answer as it is, instant civil war and zero compliance. Braced AR "pistols" for the vanishingly thin number of compliant owners, if such a hypothetical ban doesn't cover them too.
I don't mean to turn this into a /pol/ thread, but with the shift in public perception of gun ownership, current level of political polarization, and shrinking room for compromise within increasingly eroded institutions (see >>65103050), violent civil conflict will unironically be a better outcome if not the best case scenario for most people, even including noguns and normalfag NPCs.

fully automatic rifles.
>>
>>65101858
I don't think a webley fosbery technically meets the definition of semiautomatic since the rounds are chambered by hand and the action just indexes them. I wouldn't say no to an auto revolving rifle with or without the ban
>>
>>65102716
that would be worse. it would immediately alienate tens of millions of people (who are already armed) and push them towards revolt. literally the dumbest option besides bombing them.
>>
>>65102716
>why don't you just give tens of millions of armed people nothing to lose?
gee anon great idea.

Pump actions become the norm.
>>
>>65101858
Assuming handguns remain mostly unregulated, you might see a resurgence in antique stocked pistols. C96s, Lugers, and inglis hi powers would become hot commodities on the two gun scene.

>>65101858
Probably drones or bullet proof robots with huge dildos that just beat people to death.

What you are talking about, the republicans did word for word already.
