Someone able to id this pistol? Might be a Smith & Wesson M&P 2.0 with a Trijicon RMR but I'm not 100% sure because it's hard to see the front serrations
What handgun do you hope to acquire by the end of the year

ABUHH????
Looking to buy a slimline 9mm dedicated for CCW after carrying my m&p 2.0 for a little while. I don’t need a light but would like to mount an optic. Should I get the Shield Plus or the Shield X? Also, is a comp useful for a slimmer gun? I shoot my non-comped m&p just fine but idk if the lighter, thinner gun would benefit from it.
>>65103222>dovetail mountPathetic
>>65103052It's already on the way (USP 40) but I would say it's a CZ-75B, P10c FDE, G19 Gen 6, FN 545, or a Colt Python
Are there any good 22LR 8 round speed loaders for snubby revolvers? Not a whole lot of speed loader places specifically mention Charter Arms, but I am pretty sure they use the same spacing as other snub 22LRs.
>>65103247Ancient Greek thought that heavier objects fall faster because the land loves them more. They didn't actually check, but they did write about it.
>>65103232Can't go wrong with a Shield Plus
>>65103222The viridian dot is way better since you can actually adjust it. Although fiber optic definitely has appeal.

Burt, I summon thee. Would you say the RIA 5.0 is accurate enough to be a bullseye gun or is it more of just a race gun? Also would you know what the iron sights are cut for on the defunct 'standard' model?

>>65103040I have the opportunity to buy a USP in 9mm for about $500. It's a late 90s production that has carry wear but in otherwise good working order. Do I jump at the opportunity, or would it be better I spend that money elsewhere?
>>65103247I have the Speed Beez eight shot loader for my LCR in .22lr, works perfectly. I see no reason why that or their eight-shot S&W version wouldn't work with yours, it seems identical on spacing.
>>65103380>buying guns that were carriedEnjoy the ball sweat and aroma that permeated the gun.
>>65103380If I came across a usp in 9mm for 500 dollars I would buy it in an instant. Unless you're spending the rent, it's a real good purchase. USP from that era area excellent shooters, if a bit bulky.>>65103397just throw it in the ultrasonic cleaner bro.

>I'm gonna go pick up that new gun I've been eyeing>They've had 2 identical ones on the shelf since January>They sold both yesterday to a pair of twin brothersI ain't even mad
>>65103332Absolutely not, neither role is apt imo, it's purely a weirdo gun to enjoy for its unusualness. The trigger is far to long, creepy and overtravely to be fast and it's not very accurate in my hands. Whether that's my fault or the guns I can't conclude, but it pulls off target EXTREMELY easily for me which I'm inclined to blame on the trigger. When I dry fire it's hard as HELL to keep the dot stationary when it breaks, where it's virtually effortless with other guns. And that's with the overtravel set screw I installed, so it's not overtravel jerking the gun after the break.Which sight cut idk for sure, but they are definitely LPA sights so not proprietary. The long rear dovetail LOOKS like M&P, it seems too long to be Novak 1911 but I suppose it could be. Mine doesn't have sights so I can't measure to reference. The new E model sights look like they might be Sig pattern not that you axedA brand new optic mount E is """only""" $1,350 so you must have found a heckin spicy dealerino to be considering the defunct basic bitch
>>65103208lol get fucked electroboy
Recommend me DA/SA compacts with manual safeties (not 100% on that but it's a nice to have). I'm gonna go to some stores and fingerfuck a few things because I need a carry piece. Currently looking for a P30, PX4 compact, and maybe a P99.
>>65103547Damn, was hoping to hear some better info about them. I guess I'll just get an LPA sight for my Beretta as well as a Bar-Sto barrel and a new trigger bar.>Dealarino Sort of, there are some sub $1k options on a broker site. Some say that site specializes in guns.
>>65103596Look into the CSX-E
>>65103596>DA/SA compactP30 and P2000 are good pistols. P2000 is slightly more compact>with manual safetiesP30 can have a manual safety but imo it's kinda silly to have a DA/SA with a manual safety if it already has a decocker. It gets in the way for some people on the P30 anyway. As a side note, even though they're not the best pistols ever, I do think the P30 and the P2000 series have the best decocker placement ever
>>65103602Interesting, I was not aware of this, will look for one.>>65103606P30 is what I probably want the most, I have a USP and love it just want something smaller and 9mm, with more available accessories. I worry the P2000 would have the same issue as the USP with finding holsters.
>>65103596PX4 you can change the safety levers from the horrible Bat wing to the 92 shaped lever. If you buy the low profile kits you can swap the right side lever to stealth (no protrusion) or a very small wing (right side of the carry decocker only lever). The big thing about the PX4 is that with an LTT kit the DA pull can be 6 pounds or less, sub 3 pound SA pull. The slide safety isn’t hard to disengage with your thumb, it’s spring loaded so you just nudge it up. Seconding the CSX-E series S&W 3913 is probably the thinnest DA/SA ever made.
>>65103616>P30 is what I probably want the most, I have a USP and love it just want something smaller and 9mm with more available accessoriesLiterally me lol. I started with a USP 45 and I got a P30 to carry concealed in the colder months. I like the P30 very much as a carry gun, and I wholeheartedly recommend it - just without the manual safety. I have used two IWB holsters and a two shoulder holsters for it, so can confirm they're available.
>>65103337I bought a first gen XD-S in 2014. Worked fine in a ban state where 9+1 and small single stack wasn't a big trade off for 10+1 in a larger footprint. It was also the one that fit my hand best at the time.More recently moved to a state without mag capacity restrictions, so I decided to look for something with more capacity and a larger form factor since my wife was getting FTF issues due to limp wristing the XDS.Went to a range and rented a handful of pistols>Hellcat Pro felt like an improved XDS>Sig 365x macro had the trigger die halfway through the second mag. RO started cursing and said the triggers break every week or two so that was out of the running.>Shield X felt a little less comfortable than the Hellcat but otherwise pretty comparable.>Glock 19 and Echelon 4.0c were much softer shooting than all of those at the cost of a larger footprint. >Echelon recoiled more comfortably than the Glock 19. I think that had to do with the medium backstrap's contour fitting into my palm better.>I prefer a takedown lever over the pinch but that's personal preference.>wife also has weak hands so the deeper serrations on the Echelon helped her get a better grip on it.>range had a decent price and the threaded barrel version>bought it before I ever read the Echelon copypasta that appears in these threads
>>65103632should I fall for the 'ech meme for a carry gun? The Gen 1 XD works well with my hands. I can also comfortably carry the XD
Praying someone in the thread can help out, I have no fucking clue what I did to my gun or how to fix it>Dry firing >Rack slide to do another dry fire>Pull trigger and immediately tell its fucked>Felt a brick wall and finally broke through harshly>Trigger won’t reset at all, totally dead>Even when manually resetting the trigger the only thing that catches is the trigger safety>Felt a decent amount of resistance when removing the slide compared to how smoothly it normally breaks downI am such a retard I seem to be the only person who has had this issue. I can’t find anyone else besides a single Reddit post with something similar and they just sent it off to FN. I really don’t want to send it off no matter how fast the turnaround could be, it’s the only handgun I have for carry
>>65103648Not familiar with this gun, but I would try to apply the IT approach to this issue: completely detail strip the gun, clean it seriously (in ultrasonic if you have one), re-lube, re-assemble, and try again.
>>65103665I actually do have access to an ultrasonic for my work. What should I throw in it for the wash? I’ve never done anything more than a field strip and basic cleaning before, am I probably gonna need to buy some tools for a detail strip? At that point I’d probably consider taking it to a shop and seeing if they can do it there
>>65103648>>65103665509CT btw, not only am I retarded enough to be the only person to malfunction the gun in this way, I also forget to say what gun it is in the help post
>>65103648Show us the underside of the slide
>>65103680Someone made a video about it, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q5jCh4Va18Y Maybe you can immediately find something that ain't looking right.
>>65103689Don't know if it’s the source of the malfunction since I can’t find anything online but circle the striker channel because the little silver thing moves freely on the spring. Is that my issue?
>>65103406I remember the hunt for my Glock 19 in 2021.And then I bought another one this year. Both were overpriced
>>65103648I bet your firing pin broke and it's now in the trigger. Check that first. >lol FN
>>65103380hellyeah I'd make that deal
>Ruined_FNussy (67)
>>65103702Fuck me, I’m gonna kill myself. I already was eyeing up some revolvers after I was gonna buy a nice looking old 200 dollar Rossi for fun. This might’ve cemented that I should get a snub nose just for pocket carry
>>65103380Buy the gun, it'll survive the nuclear holocaust
>>65103701I got my first Glock 19 by walking into my LGS the day after Trump got elected (the first time). Apparently, someone came in and sold their Glock to the store because they were "moving to Canada". Since the employees knew me, I got it for only $250 and I'm the forever home
>>65103700A striker must necessarily be held forward by the striker spring. Its whole purpose is being held back by the sear and let to go forward. If there's no spring pressure holding it forward yeah it's borked. I also am unfamiliar with this design, but take the striker assembly out the ass and see what's broken or missing. Were you in there previously? Put something in backwards?
>>65103722Thank you for the info, I don’t know anything about how striker fired pistols function. No, I’ve never poked around inside or tried to replace/change anything out. I don’t think I have the tools to remove the striker assembly so seems like I’m shit out of luck. I really enjoyed the gun so far and was having a great experience, but this has soured me pretty hard on the 509CT. I’ve never had a gun fuck up this badly before, haven’t had it too long but honestly considering letting it go after I get it repaired and getting something different to carry
>>65103711>>65103700>little silver thingYeah that would be the firing pin. It's a replaceable part homie. No big deal.
>>65103738>getting something else for carry
I have not seen this kind of failure in any other striker gun, but it would be a good point in favor of hammer fired designs. Just the ones made in years starting with 2, older ones tend to have histories of firing pin hardening issues too, the older they are, more prominent the problem.
>>65103788I have a 1911 I have just for fun, no holster setup or extra mags. I dry fire it way more than I do the 509CT for practice just because I find the 1911 action satisfying. I really did have a positive experience up until now, but I feel for a gun marketed and intended for concealed carry a malfunction like this from pretty light dry firing is a big disqualifier. I guess I’m gonna have to start Mexican carrying my 1911 until I get this squared away
>>65103788Shitty FN design bro. Exhibit A of why Glocks remain the superior striker.
>>65103738Every striker I've ever encountered you can remove the backplate with a pen or a punch, or a toothpick, and fetch the striker out the back. I doubt FN needs a special tool
>>65103758>Gun is so shitty that you need several spares
>>65103232CSX is also a good option, but make sure it's the e-series
>>65103849Sounds just like Glock.
>>65103842Gay
>>65103257This is also why Burt is so loved by God.>>65103596P30sk
Sorry if this should've been an /msg/ post, but how rare are Cold-War production Cz-75's on the U.S. market? I bought picrel for $500 cash on consignment, it's from 1981. Someone's dad died and he only wanted to keep a handful of things. Got a 75 compact from the early 90's at the same shop a month later. Shooting/carrying it has been stellar.
>>65102970>I’m not. The USP has a really really bad DA pull comparatively to the “praise” (hype) it receives. My troon sense might be off but I felt I was under attack by a coprophiliac so I assumed it was one of the HK posters that spam that disgusting hagI don't want this to sound too insulting but do you really fall for people pretending to be trannies? If I said I'm a tranny and I like whatever your favorite gun is then would you really believe that?
>>65104015yes
>>65104017what’s your favorite handgun
>>65103052Beretta 92. Not sure if black or inox. Leaning towards black and then when I get a 1911 that will be stainless.
>>65103380For $500 they're great guns. Mine is around that old too and it's still running strong.
>>65103409My ball sweat easily overpowers that of lesser men.>>65103410I really doubt someone was carrying that appendix.
>>65103052probably a brigadier 92fs
>>65103884What a shitty designOh well get FN to replace it free or buy an aftermarket thang
>>65104047Was on hold for over an hour and then the hours cutoff so I couldn’t talk to anyone. Sent an email and now waiting, think I’m just gonna fix it and look into selling it for something else
>>65103232I have a Shield X and like it a lot. Think Bodyguard 2.0 but 9mm
>>65103620>>65103625Well I went and fingerfucked many things, and it mostly confirmed the horror show of gunstores around me. Of course they have a million striker fired glock clone slops but ask for a hammer and they look at you like you've got 2 heads. I was only able to get my hands on a P30SK and a PX4 in 40, both with unremovable trigger locks (fuck you bass pro shop) but the P30 mag release is unfortunately far out of my thumbs reach, the PX4 felt much better in my hand. Not to mention the compact with flush fit mag was about the same size as the P30SK with the pinky grip mag.Gonna go range further tomorrow for a slightly nicer store and see if they have a CSX I could try, plus the others where I could actually pull the trigger. Now the real issue is convincing myself to buy something practical like this and not the 1907 Lithgow No2 Mk IV .22 trainer that I found at one store.
>>65104080Bass Pro does suck, my condolences
>>65103620>>65104080Oh and why I replied to the PX4 post. I'm glad to see the safety can be replaced because I didn't love the feel. Can it be had in a compact with both safety and decocker?
>>65104107If you're looking into DA/SA hammer guns, just give up on the safety
>>65104070I think you're being dramatic, just get it fixed bra. You bought the gun for whatever reason, that reason hasn't suddenly changed
>>65104107The safety is the decocker, no way to make it able to carry cocked and locked without modification into a state never intended by Beretta. Whenever you engage the safety in a 92, PX4, cougar, or other similar Beretta it engages the decocker at the same time and drops the hammer, disables the trigger bar, it makes the gun into a total safe state. The 92 lever style allows for safety/decocker or decocker only (push out the ball bearing), so does the stock lever - you convert it to decocker only by removing the ball detent. The carry lever is decocker only. The stealth lever is decocker only (highly recommend the low profile slide stop in the stealth kit). https://youtu.be/9Q4M_a7S8-ohttps://youtu.be/46gj1yoOQVs
>>65104122Thank you. I have autism and refuse to put a gun in my pants that doesn't have a manual safety, and the decocker is just a nice to have at the same time.
Nighthawk fixed my disconnector and sent me back my gun. >>65104129You’ll get over it eventually, I think in one of those videos they talk about “hammer control” where you put your thumb on the hammer (when it’s in the down position) as you holster the gun preventing the gun from ever going off. Like even if you were pulling the trigger as hard as you could, your thumb on the hammer has so much more power preventing any sort of mishap.
>>65104129Just don't chamber a round
>>65104129Get a USPc
like my mk25are those dot mounts that fit in the rear sight notch worth bothering with or should I just get the slide cut?
>>65104170No anon, pistol is fine as it is
>>65104170Dovetail mounts suck.>tall>susceptible to being bumped due to how large they are with a dot making you lose zeroUnder every circumstance they are worse than a dedicated slide cut for an optic. Pretty sure you can buy a optic cut 226 slide
>>65104170dovetail mount badmilled slide goodif you afraid mill slide, buy second slide pre-milled
>>65104151inb5 it continues jamming on the slide release>>65104170Rear sight mounts are homosexual. But also it seems wrong to cut itIt sucks P226 slides are so expensive or I'd say have a new slide milled
>>65104151>I think in one of those videos they talk about “hammer control” where you put your thumb on the hammer (when it’s in the down position) as you holster the gun preventing the gun from ever going off. This is part of why I bought an LEM P2000 for carry. Light but long trigger and an external hammer meant I could set my thumb on it while holstering Ten years (fuck me) later and I realize it's not that big a deal, but I do still love that gun.

>>65104435I've been watching. I'm purposely not going to bid now.
I haven't even shot my most recent new gun yet and I've had it for 2 months. I'm just sick of being a suburban cuck faggot whose only option for ranges is to go to an indoor range or drive an hour to the only public outdoor range in my state and pay $50 to have an RSO breathe down my fucking neck and try to make the most of a 10AM-4PM business hour schedule.I just want to move to the woods lads, I can't enjoy this hobby anymore.
>>65104435I have faith in you anon. I got outbid on that barrel for my Beretta 92 the other day. I may have also built up some good boy points with fate or something because I emailed the seller several hours before the auction ended and said I didn't want the barrel, but would send him the costs of relisting/taxes/fees if I had won. Dude was super chill about it actually and even thanked me for reaching out to him to even make the offer.

>>65104435If you are at a point with gunsoomerism where you are making purchases impulsively and instantly getting buyers remorse you really need to detox from gun websites for a while to level yourself out. >>65103379>it's almost a guarantee that I'll be second guessing my purchase. Are you making your choice because you've shot them at the range and are choosing the gun you shoot the best, or are you being a retard?
>>65104129>I have autism and refuse to put a gun in my pants that doesn't have a manual safetyI understand the sentiment, but you'll be amazed how fast you'll get over these kind of hangupsI went through a similar thing where I wanted DA/SA because I liked the idea of the heavy trigger pull as protection for myselfbut the more you carry, the more you get over those jitters and realize that as long as you have a proper holster, 99.999% of the time your gun is just going to be sitting there doing absolutely nothing and won't go off by itself
>>65104435
>>65104129>>65104608Safety obsession is caused by not shooting enough and being unfamiliar with gunsAfter instructing like 45+ people I’m so fucking tired of hearing it. “WHAAAAT, the gun doesn’t have a safety??? Uhhhhh I don’t k ow if I’m comfortable with that!”Retard, your behavior will lead you to shooting yourself, a safety is 100% a placebo for newer shooters because their weapons handling is dogshit anyway, and by the time it becomes effective, skill obviates its use. The ONLY exception is SAO guns, especially those that are not drop safe but have an FP safety. You should never be hot holstering a DASA gun if you have the option to decock, anyway
>>65104560$50 is intense I don't think even the indoor ones charge that much here.

Are these any good? Passed it up at my LGS today for $300ish, but I've been thinking more about it tonight. Was in good condition, didn't realize Springfield ever made a little CZ-like or whatever this is.
>>65104461Speaking of HK, I'm the anon that asked about the USP 45 the other day. Ended up buying one, and a holster. Hoping to pick it up later today and go shooting. I'm curious on where folks find solid deals on HK magazines, won't touch Promag, ever.

>>65104601A few years ago, I shot a CZ75D PCR, Walther PDP compact, SIG P365XL, and a Glock 19 back to back. Put about 50-100 rounds through each, and was kinda bummed about how cheap the Glock felt compared to the others. However, after shooting it, I was blown away by how soft-recoiling and easy it was to keep rounds on target and make follow up shots with the Glock 19. It almost feels like it transforms into an absolute powerhouse once it gets going. The other options either felt too springy (PDP), too cheap (PCR), or too thin (P365XL). The Glock 19 is basically a Goldilocks gun for me, in that it's just right in about everything I can ask a 9mm handgun to be. It's only real competition is the M&p 2.0, but the only real model I was interested in that line is the Metal series, and I'm not about to shell out an extra $300 for a handgun that basically does the same thing a Glock can do.

Gentlemen:P2000SK supremacyI will not explain further
>>65104884>>65105190Why are Honkler and Kock magazines so expensive, anyway? Is there any measurable proof that whatever kraut wunder-steels folded over 9000 times and tested for a decade before release actually makes them more reliable than a regular old Glonk/Mec-Gar magazine? Or is it another German autism thing where all the testing and development is just used as an excuse to charge more for something that's basically as reliable as anything else on the market? Just like their pistols.
>>65105568HK charges civilians the same if not more than they do for government contracts because fuck you.

>>65105568It's very simple, HK is a government supplier, civilians get the leftovers, you pay what everyone else pays, you get shipments whenever they have extras to ship. There is no further thought put into it than that.
>>65105627>HK is a government supplierExactly what governments do they supply with pistols? SF guys all use Glocks.
Thinking about trading my staccato for a pvs-14. I'd replace it with a glock 34 or a beretta 92 for competition and a nightstand gun. Which one should I pick?
>>65105548I want to like the P-10, P-09 and P-07 so badly, but the grips on these pistols are just too slender for me. I wish they had interchangeable side panels for shooters with big hands.
>>65105631You can't go wrong with either but I'm partial to the 92fs. Bear in mind that the Beretta will be a hammer fire whereas the Glock will be striker fire (if that makes a difference to you)
>>65105568If glock or mecgar made hk mags I would buy them. Right now the only competition hk has is promag and yeah people with hks don't want to buy that.

>>65106007I use them extensively on my glocks, only the sandpaper type. Huge grip improvement obviously, but the tape will wear over the course of 6 months to a year if you dry fire or shoot frequently. When it wears off the granulate whats left is slick plastic. They are easy to replace though. Just rip off, wipe the sticky residue off, and put another on. I've noticed that it wears fastest on the front grip, but I think that's because of deficiencies in my grip.

First time I rented the P01 I didn't like it. The small slide fucked with me. Going to rent it again to see if it clicks with me now that I'm considering a compact carry gun. Can you guys compare the P01 to the PX4? Hate the PX4 aesthetics but I'm trying to stay open minded. I was just going to get the M&P compact but I'm not completely thrilled by it.
Finally made it to the range k bros. Shot it about 170 times cci mini mag no malfunctions at all out of a walther p22q
>>65106224Oh. Nevermind, the P01 isn't on the fucking CA roster anymore. COOL! How about just why should I consider the Storm I guess? Why the Storm over the M&P compact?
>>65106224>>65106259The PX4 Compact shoots retardedly well and is easy as fuck to conceal carry thanks to the decocker. The only downside of the PX4 is that it isn't as good looking as the 92 but few guns are
>>65106259Damn that blows anon, sorry bro. I've heard good things about the PX4, a lot of guys here seem to like them. Can't comment on the M&P, I've only shot the fullsize.
>>65106267It used to be on the roster. Now it isn't. Multiple Rami skus are still on the roster. I'm pissed at having an even smaller selection of guns in an already small pool (hammer fired compact). Pic not related. I just fucking love this movie. Every American should watch it.
>>65106259I don’t know>DA/SA hammer down carry is one of the safest ways to carry>exposed hammer allows for hammer control when holstering and unholstering. Very safe >rotating barrel makes for a very nice recoil impulse and lower muzzle flip. The PX4 compact shoot as good as most full-sizes in my opinion. Watch some videos, I think humble shartsman does side by sides and you can see the px4 compact doesn’t flip as much as other compacts. Personally I can’t take advantage of the low muzzle flip without a red dot.
>>65106301What dot do you recommend for the compact?
>>65105666>satan demands you stop using the Glock 19 immediatelyHmm...
>>65106259Storms a meme gun, but it is objectively pretty good. Buy it if your autism either requires a da/sa firearm or is tickled by the rotating bolt. If you think either one of these is going to make the gun notably better shooting then you're buying into the marketing and are likely to be disappointed. After market is a bit less than your more common handguns, but it isn't like we're talking about an sp2022 here, the guns been popular enough for long enough that it isn't a real problem unless you want to tinker. If there isn't a reason you NEED the storm and you don't suffer from special snowflake syndrome then you will probably be happier with the M&P2.0. it's debatably the best striker fired gun on the market and has a serious enough LE following that it isn't going anywhere and a 3.0 is inevitable.
>>65106259Gen 6 is coming out with CA compliant models this summert. knower
>>65105666The constant quest for thinner handguns is retarded. If you have normal sized or large hands they shoot notably worse than thicker guns. All it does is make it less noticeable IWB which is of debatable merit and really not that big of a deal. If I'm bothering with a belt gun then I want the most shootable gun I'm willing and able to conceal with reasonable comfort. That's a G21 sometimes and a G19 the rest of the time(or similarly sized firearm).
Stoeger or McPhee?
>>65106323>If you think either one of these is going to make the gun notably better shooting then you're buying into the marketing and are likely to be disappointedThe PX4 shoots better than other polymer guns, at least as far as recoil goes. Shooting 9mm through the PX4 feels like shooting .38 through a .357 Mag gun.
>>65106337Yeah I'm on that same boat too,I have "thin" handguns like the P365 and Shield Plus but the more "traditional" handguns just feel so much better
>>65106007It's a good feel, much more grip than the pebbled rubber. No I haven't used it enough to wear the stuff off>>65106243Hell yeah love to hear it
>>65106337I think it's for people like me who refuse to carry up front. It's worse in every way but I have to carry strong side or else my god will punish me.
>>65106345Hwansik Kimchi>>65106337There's a place for them. They'll never be very shootable but you can make your grip work well enough to confidently make shots 15 yards and in, which imo is more than enough for self defense. Good for beach days or places you're not supposed to carry. If anything I don't understand the proliferation of G19 size grips. I have small hands and I find the grip too small and much prefer a G17/45 full size grip. I've never been wearing something that could conceal a g19 but couldn't a g45 so to me the real carry choice is between microcompacts like the bodyguard/shield and fullsize guns with a dot.
>>65106355You're buying into the meme or trying to justify your purchase. It's barely noticeable. If you want to get meaningful recoil reduction you're going to need to comp the gun which introduces other possible problems.
>>65106400Or you could just go and do this one weird trick: actually practice with your gun
>>65106385>They'll never be very shootable but you can make your grip work well enough to confidently make shots 15 yards and in, which imo is more than enough for self defense. Good for beach days or places you're not supposed to carry. No, that's what pocket guns are good for. That's the problem, they don't let you actually conceal the gun in situations where you couldn't conceal a G19 sized firearm. You still need a belt and the grip height is just as tall. They're a compromise in terms of shootability with no real benefits other than comfort, just like single stack or stagger stack 9mms compared to subcompact double stacks.
>>65106400I shoot often and a shoot bunch of different guns. I carry a PX4 compact and a Glock 19 regularly so I train with them especially often. There is a significant difference between them. It's not just me; I've had strangers and friends shoot them both and both amateurs and experienced shooters notice the difference.
>>65103052S&W HD. Pretty basic, but shooting a fully decked out one with the 23rd mags made me feel like a rock hard pipehittin young man again, instead of the obese has-been I've become
>>65106416post both of them plz
>>65106420I'm at work but I will later, sure
>>65106407You're literally trying to talk up a minimal reduction in recoil like it's a big deal(trying to buy skill). It's pretty obvious you're just emotionally invested in this gun.
>>65106416Hey if you feel so then good for you. I don't own a px4 compact but have shot them on several occasions. I do own stock g19s and comped g19s. To me the px4 has a barely noticeable difference in recoil to a stock g19s and it's more of a way it feels than actual reduction. Comps are noticeable for me but possibly introduce other problems so I don't really recommend them to people.
>>65106422uh huh
>>65105968>>65105978>>65106023When you rack the slide. They're less offensive than the giant ears but they suck the same way. All the levers are similar in ease of use, which is what makes the carry options superior.

>>65106533By losing hope in the future and having credit cards
>>65106411>they don't let you actually conceal the gun in situations where you couldn't concealDisagree. I can conceal a Shield Plus and especially a bodyguard 2.0 in situations where I can't my G45. Sometimes that is due to weight or the grip size. Like I can clip my shield unto my drawstring only shorts with a pull over and go for a walk in the park but the g45 is too heavy to do that. With the bodyguard, I can just throw it in my pocket. >No, that's what pocket guns are good forI would put shield plus size guns in the pocket gun category because I did carry it in my pocket for some time, but I agree with your general principle that for carry it's best to either go really small or fullsize.
I know I should not be doing this, posting targets is basically asking to derail the thread.First five shots of the day, 11 yards. Started shooting last year, hope I'm doing well.

>>65106656he clearly said the first five shots, plus you don't see any misses other than the shots stated, plus it says in the filename it was done with a glock 17is it your actual supposition that he shot and hit five shots, walked to the target to take a picture, and then missed 12 shots in a row to empty his g17 magazine, and these misses were so egregious they didn't even hit paper? And that, therefore, this group is very unimpressive compared to the guy who is shooting a six-shot, DA revolver, where he wouldn't miss twelve shots in a row?

>>65107156Nah. I don't carry yet but I assumed this.
>>65107175Sorry, I was late getting home: tons of traffic outside your mother's house.I don't usually talk about Glocks in /hg/, you have me confused with someone else. If you're the same guy that accused me of not having a 92 months ago, looks like you're 0 and 2, bud. If you can't tell a difference in felt recoil between a PX4 Compact and a stock Glock 19, then you're probably a noshoot; most likely even a noguns. Regardless, you're a massive faggot.

>>65106923Honestly I'm thinking Metrolight, Ameriglo (have those on my G19 Gen 5), ot trijicon.I do have OEM on my G19 Gen 4 and I am impressed with them.At this point I have a G17 and G26 (both gen 5) that I want to have with night sights, while the only Glock that will stay stock is my G17 Classic

>>65106831You don't grab the slide with your palm?>>65107236ESL faggot lmao
>>65107377Not that gun
Shot my Glock 19 for the first time. I had to practically obscure the front sight with the right post on the rear sight to get it to shoot on target. When I did that I was hitting decent groups at 10 yards, otherwise I was barely on paper I was shooting so far left.I practiced dry firing and I’m not normally this shitty, so I don’t think it’s my trigger pull. Could it be the sights are off from factory? I’m gonna try it from rest next time to see if it’s not just me, but I don’t think I’ve ever had this issue with fixed factory sights.
>>65107438I presume you aren't a very proficient pistol shooter. If you're right handed, shots landing left (and usually low) are indicative of jerking the trigger. Yes, your dry fire may be fine, but you are likely flinching during live fire. This isn't a huge deal and you'll just have to train yourself out of it. This is a very common experience for newer shooters. If you really believe the sights are off, have a buddy who can shoot pistols well try it out.
I am the only person here who mains PPks
>>65106434I rack from the front serrations or just grab by the red dot
