> Buy gun to feel happy> Happiness fades> Buy another gun to be happy againWhen does it go away bros...
When you use them.
>>65106653but what if guns in general make me happy
>>65106642It doesn’t. I find that constantly pursuing a gun without ever actually buying it is better for both my mental as well as my financial health.
>>65106668Enjoy the guns you have. Although i' in the same boat. I am realllllly thinking about buying an AUG or perhaps a X95
>>65106642For me it was around the time I wanted to buy a house and realized that I needed $25k in my bank account instead of a closet full of guns. Oops.
You would be happier if you figured out how to properly greentext.
>>65106642It doesn't. It's not hoarding, it's craving new experiences. Life is a shit load of predictable boredom occasionally interrupted by something new and exciting, and guns are a pretty cheap way to give yourself that hit. I had zero practical reason to buy this other than I thought it would be cool, and it is.
>>65106642After you realize that collecting isn't your type of hobby and that experiences are. Go outside and shoot with your friends. Make sure to take lots of pictures with the bros. Human life is fleeting. You don't want to miss out.
>>65106653Not sure i agree entirely with this pic. That one ex grunt who smoked a bunch of police just by slicing the pie did just fine.
>>65106642>he doesnt take his gun shooting for a couple weekends in a row, milking the fleeting material happiness for all he can before he wants another gunNgmi
>>65106683I want a 20" aug so fucking bad
>>65106642You need to add shoot gun into your loop.
>>65106642It will end after I purchase a Winchester M70
>>65106845I learned to do that a while back, and because it's fun to enjoy the learning process again as you get up to your usual proficiency with a new gun. Sometimes that ends up being your best time with a gun, like this RIA 1911 that has gotten less and less reliable as the round count goes up, but it was flawless in the first 500.
>>65106642get proficient with themyou learn things you dislike about your guns and want to change as you use them in more settings than just a standard slow fire standing or benched positionprone and crouching was how i learned i dont like red dots compared to holographics, eotechs just made it easier for awkward positions
>>65106642Fuck yamudda
>>65106853Thats what i'm looking at. Especially since I have a 10.3 AR and they'd be about the same length. Though I keep it suppressed, so maybe the 16" would be better.
>>65106790I was laughing my ass off earlier imagining a walker or 1851 navy with an RMR cut cylinder. Your pic reminded of that thought
>>65106642You need to ask yourself what it is in life that really matters to you, figure out what you really want and then pursue it. You can't fill the void by purchasing new stuff. That dopamine hit never lasts long.
>>65106642Because you chose to get your dopamine by buying things. I know...>1 guy who gets dopamine by maintaining things, he's always religiously cleaning his car, his house, or his guns.>2 guys who gets dopamine by making things, when one's not programming, he's cooking or handloading; the other guy bought a car that doesn't work to spend time fixing it as his project car and he has multiple guns he assembled himself from aftermarket parts.>Multiple guys who get dopamine by using things, one flies planes, the other rides a motorcycle, and another loves to shoot guns.>Multiple guys who get dopamine through social interaction, they love visiting social places like churches, clubs, gyms, etc.
>>65106795Not them, but I don't have gun friends. I don't even really have friends anymore. Plus most gun people I have met in my area are '1911 is duh best, hey check out my M&P15 I put a box of ammo through 6 years ago when the coof was in full swing', or wannabe vetbro/tactidouches who start screaming at you because your form isn't perfectly to their liking. I just don't think firearms as a hobby is for me anymore. I may just drop down to a good hime defense gun and a CCW and that's it. I had thought about getting an Olympic style air pistol since pellets are cheap, air is cheap, and it is a style of shooting that doesn't involve running around like a jackass blasting cardboard that is like 10ft away. I am considering that also because I live like an hourish away from Camp Perry and I know they have fairly regular air gun matches.
>>65106642I hit that point in life where I would rather be at work than at home with family. But work still sucks.
>>65111047Anon, when you are on your deathbed you aren't going to wish you picked up more overtime. Spend more time with your family. If you don't like your family, ask yourself why and work to fix those problems by talking or doing things with them. If that isn't working, may it is time to cut ties and start fresh.
