Using them from fully stowed requires finding a button on the side of the mount that isn't necessarily that intuitive, especially in a hurry. Rhino mounts had a spring and you could just pull them down against tension, but nobody with money has used rhino mounts since 2010; and everything that replaced them has some kind of lock that needs disengaged.
