What would you consider the cheapest, most low cost (and likely badly made) fighter jet currently in use right now?
>pic unrelated I didn't know what to use
>>
Current production? JF-17.
Current use? Probably some rusted out North Korean piece of shit.
>>
>>65113489
do these guys even have jet?
>>
>>65113491
It was some nork pilot named No Kum Sok or some shit that defected and brought the US their first Mig-25, wasn't it?
And no, I didn't make that name up.
>>
>>65113491
They operate all sorts of jets, from first gens to fourth gens.

They own Fulcrums.
>>
>>65113491
They do, but they only fly them for ceremonial reasons and to practice for said ceremonial reasons

Literal slavshit

If your country is an enemy to the free world and America your best choice is actually Chinkshit

If you want to learn how to build fighter jets you can pay Saab bigly shekels and learn how to assemble Gripens

The turdie meta is actually F-16s + Saab AWACS as seen with Pakistan shooting down half a dozen Rafales
>>
the J6, The MIG21, the Phantom II and the F5 are good contenders as they are planes from the 1950s yet still are somehow used today.
But the true oldest plane should be the MIG15 which is still in use despite being almost 80 years old...somehow.

I don't know if being old means it's bad today though, maybe there's some more recent ones that are worse and used by less resourceful actors

HAL TEJAS
>>
>>65113988
Is the F-4 the only one still getting real love today? The J6 and MIG are being turned into target drones lately and the F-5 gets more use in its older version of the T-38
Meanwhile the Terminator is pretty crazy what theyve packed into it and also has airframe changes to extend life.
>>
>>65113685
Pakis used J-10CEs to shoot down the Rafales (and other jets) though. They use F-16s and JF-17s for strike missions.
>>
>>65114812
Unfortunately, it's based on the burger turbojet version, instead of the superior turbofan bong one.
>>
The Paki / Chink thundercats, the newest models cost around 20 mil a piece I think.

Paki / Chink maintenance parts are probably cheap too
>>
>>65114785
He asked for the cheapest, not the worst. He was just wrong in expecting that the cheapest would also be the worst.

I'm pretty sure only Pakistan has this combo

Looked it up while waiting for the capcha, it's pakistan, uae and ukraine. Hardly meta

The Fishbed is the most produced exported military jet ever.
>>
>>65115201
Poland is using that mix too.
>>
>>65113488
JF-17. Basically the only 4th gen you can buy for <$100m
>>
>>65113488
The Textron Scorpion, about 20 mirrion dorrar, cost $3k per flight hour.
>>
>>65113489
you really get what you pay for, those engines last about 800-1200 hours before needing replaced at $2 million each
>>
>>65113497
>didn't make that up
Brah, I spent a year in Korea getting shot at more there than in the fucking middle east. Hilarious. You made that shit up, or cribbed it from some other nitwit.

>The Chengdu J-7 (Chinese: 歼-7; pinyin: Jiān-7; third generation export version J-7; NATO reporting name: Fishcan[2]) is a Chinese fighter aircraft. It is a license-built derivative of the Soviet Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-21, and thus shares many similarities with that aircraft.[3]
>Due to the mass production, the MiG-21 was very cheap: the MiG-21MF, for example, was cheaper than the BMP-1.[8]
>In 2013, production of the J-7 was terminated after the delivery of 16 F-7BGI to the Bangladesh Air Force. Newer fighter aircraft, such as the JF-17 Thunder, Chengdu J-10, and Shenyang J-35A multirole fighters, have succeeded it in the export market. To date, large numbers of J-7s remain in service with multiple export customers,[4][5] with the PLAAF retiring the fleet in 2023.[6]

They have MiG-21s, MiG-29s, and planes that looks like MiG-15s and Su-22s. You can go on Google Maps and look at any airport other than Pyongyang in NK and you'll find parked jets.
>>
>>65114785
>>65115187
why is it the worst?
>>
>>65113488
Pakistan's 80-something remaining Mirage IIIs, they were shitboxes even when they were brand new. Assuming the Norks really have turned all their operating MiG-15s into target drones.
>>
>>65113488
F-20 if it hadn't been cucked.
>>
>>65118594
Aren't Mirage usually good though? What make this version so bad?
>>
>>65119106
They're just tired 3rd gen airframes they got used as a stopgap to bulk out their fleet
