>F-35 Lightning II>Number built:1,325+ as of 4 March 2026>Su-57>Number built:42+ (including 10 prototypes) as of 2026What causes this massive difference? Is Russian production terrible or are the United States just built different?
>>65116350quality>quantity
>>65116350Russia will have to send a nice letter to Ukraine asking them to build some.I don't think that is going to happen.
>>65116350Pervasive corruption hits every part of the Russian supply chain, and their actual construction process is not nearly as streamlined or massive in scale as the F-35s. Lockheed erected massive factory floors dedicated to pumping out F-35s, fitted with the latest technologies and swarming with specialist personnel. Sukhoi instead builds its SU-57s one at a time in what amounts to a shed from the eighties.
Russia can only mass produce cheap drones now.
>>65116370Takes only a bottle of cheap vodka and a lack of condoms to make a few.
>>65116381True. They let kids make them (srs)
Russians aren't technologicaly advanced enough to make a fighter jet production line
>>65116350The Russian economy is about the size of Italy's.And Italy can get EU funds while Russia has to export funds at at least that level in order to keep the Oligarch class happy.

The US just has more physical wealth. We could use that to provide health care or feed the poor but we'd rather just blow shit up and kill browns
>>65116551>We could use that to provide health care or feed the poorWe do both
>>65116381>lack of condomsdick wrap is of better
>>65116350>Su-57>Number built:42+ (including 10 prototypes) as of 2026Doubt.exe
>>65116350Bit of both. The USA is Definitely built different since we basically spent all of WW1 and 2 selling guns. The POTUS is the greatest arms dealer in the world by orders of magnitude. At the same time, both resources and morale dropped off at the end of the Soviet Union and never really came back. The Su-57 was treated as a paper tiger that would never go anywhere and get quietly forgotten until Supreme Leader Monke invaded Ukraine.
>>65116556Not really we just use massive amounts of surplus grain as a crude economic weapon, that grain can technically be consumed as food which is why there are so many fat people whose bodies don't work so good
>>65116355It's a modern fighter jet, not a samurai katana. Making a fighter jet in an artisanal shop is not a good thing.
>>65116556>We do bothNot on my watch.
>>65116741I want to see a F-35 armed with AIM-174b's.
>>65116749They could be mounted on the external pylons, no? Is there something special about the bug that makes it the only one able to carry a 174?
>>65116910>Is there something special about the bug that makes it the only one able to carry a 174?No. It's just that in peacetime, DoD really likes to spend the time and effort to iron out 100% of the kinks of attaching a new missile to a plane. (See the F-35/Meteor saga). So they will only do so if they really want/have to.
>>65116910It would ruin their stealth, tho, and I don't think the pylons can be ejected mid-flight. Maybe have a stealth config F-35 running out in front to illuminate targets?
Germany's 1st F-35 has entered final assembly.
>>65116944Well I have seen a "beast" config for the 35 which has externally mounted weapons, so it's not like it's unheard of. That does get me wondering why we don't have any stealth or VLO missiles and hard points that could be used that don't significantly increase a plane's RCS. I mean that's the major downside of IWBs isn't it? The restricted space means you're kinda stuck in terms of upgrades and payload size
>>65116948>the censored insideslewd
>>65116355Except it actually is quality+quantity > low quality+ low quantity.
>>651163501 engine vs. 2 engines
>>65117292If the main reason is the number of engines then the Russians could have produced at least 662,5 Felons.
>>65116350Russia is a dying country. The real question is why China's J20/35 haven't reached the 1k mark yet. Is it reall only their engines?
>>65116350>Is Russian production terrible or are the United States just built different? No money whatsoever. Russia is dirt-poor broke. Their internal debt is soaring sky-high and once the war is over, their economy is gonna implode harder than during the Yeltsin years.
>>65116922Shieeeeet frogs the rafale only argument was that it had better missiles, what do we do now ?
>>65117957the meteor is better
>>65116350Does someone have the webm of both of these climbing after takeoff where the Su-57 is wobbling all over the place while the F-35 looks perfectly stable like a UFO?

>>65116551>feed the poorOh yeah because poor americans are notoriously skinny.
>>65116979>That does get me wondering why we don't have any stealth or VLO missiles and hard points that could be used that don't significantly increase a plane's RCS.Mostly because external hardpoints tend to create concave angles that are hard to hide. Radar hits the hull, then hits the missile, then hits the hull Again, and so on. Each time the radar wave bounces there's a little bit of leakage that gets back to the sender and a lot of stealth design is minimizing these bounces.
>>65116350>42+could we see them?
>>65119514Lard is cheap, not healthy.
>>65119425Oh yeah, shove it in!
>>65119595
>>65117251Plus even if it was better it's not better enough to counter us being able to build 100 of ours for every 1 of theirs.
>>65116350lets see>2007 2 >2008 6>2009 10>2010 11>2011 13>2012 30>2013 35>2014 36vs su 572020 1 crashed2021 42022 6 2023 14 (algerian)2024 82025 couldnt find any info2026 4 so far your comparison is stupid tho since you know it f35 is being built by a shitload of countries if you wanted a more accurate comparison you should have used the f22
>>65116944externals are for after sead has happened. so there is considered to be less of a threat.
>>65117391Well, they just sentenced the head of the the company that developed the J-20 to death for corruption, and the lead designer of the J-35 was disappeared, so I wouldn't be surprised if they start heavily investing in something to replace both.
>>65116556And we shouldn't, feeding the poor doesn't stop them being poor.
>>65119579Lard is actually a perfectly fine food (assuming it comes from a healthy, well raised pig). I blend some lard or tallow into any pot of re-fried beans I make, I use it for pie crusts instead of butter, and I've used it for confit cooking before. Animal fats are good for you, and are one of the only good dietary sources for vitamin D.The problem with the American poor is that we allow and incentivize them to eat nothing but carb-garbage under the assumption that as long as we add enough flavoring to make it tasty and enough vitamin fortification to make it 'healthy' that people will thrive on it. Except that added flavorings, artificial thickeners and sweeteners, and added vitamins in fortified flours massively confuse your body, as the mouth senses what should be a bonanza of calories, secondary plant chemicals (flavor), and nutrition, the gut and metabolism spool up to use it, then get really confused when nothing of value gets to the gut. Flavorful food is supposed to signal to our bodies that we are eating something rich in a nutrient we need. We spent decades depleting soils of nutrients to make plants that are lacking in flavor and nutrition, to feed to animals that end up lacking flavor and nutrition, to feed to people that have bodies screaming at them to eat massive quantities of garbage because they are functionally malnourished despite being fat, and the trash food tastes (to the brain) like it should be full of the nutrition they need.Ban all added flavor (artificial or natural, doesn't matter), ban thickeners and emulsifiers, ban non-natural sweeteners. Nuke Iowa. Read "The Dorito Effect".
>>65120708Only because rent has surpassed food as the primary expense for poor familiesTo achieve the same sort of economic effect as the old Roman grain dole you would have to cover something like two thirds of the rent of the people on welfare, but this would result in thousands of families being lifted out of poverty as they suddenly have the income to improve their lives
>>65116426>F-35 is too short and not enough wingspan>F-35 is also lighter >compares MTOW but not payload (it's within 300kg of each other)There's hundreds of things that can be said of the JSF procurement and I'll be the first to shit on the B variant, but it's one of the few things the US built more than 1000 of in the past few decades at a reasonable speed.
