Now that the AUG is available in a decent chambering, should I pick one up? I've never liked 5.56, but 300 Whisper makes a lot of sense here.I also love that they made it so you can turn the gas off and use it as a straight-pull for even less noise. Why more gas guns don't have that in the age of suppressors is beyond me.
>Steyr replacement dick in 9" niggerFaggot
>>65117728What?
>>65117729You're queer for tacticool faggotry and give your boys blowjobs in your 2005 camry that smells like bubblegum vape after range days
>>65117731He says you are an idiot for thinking 300blk makes any sense in a 16" barrel when it was solely developed for use in an 8". And that you are gay.
>>65117771>when it was solely developed for use in an 8"Stop saying this. It isn't true. The 300 Whisper was developed for shared subsonic/supersonic function in an otherwise standard AR. Yes, diminishing returns in velocity happen after ~10". But that doesn't mean it "doesn't make sense" in longer barrels, especially considering you literally can't get a 10" barrel on an AUG.
>>65117771While 300bo certainly does better out of short barrels then 5.56 and has diminishing returns more quickly too, supers absolutely get meaningful increases out 16". And whether super or subsonic the suppression is vastly better then 5.56.
>>65117725Gr8 b8 m8, r8 8/8
>>65117725They're certainly iconic guns. They're obviously old designs though too, which on the one hand makes them plenty proven, but on the other hand stuff like the trigger is so-so by modern standards. Of course being old and popular enough also means a pretty decent after market so you can fix that sort of thing, just be aware you might need to. The gas design isn't great for suppression though the current plugs combined with flow cans make it plenty workable enough. If you're after that I think you'd enjoy it.
New aug later this year don't t buy yet
>>65117725>I've never liked 5.56Derp.
>buy a vintage conversation piece>make sure it's in a retarded ass wildcat caliber because youtube said it was goodWhy would you do that though
>>651181725.56 is hard to suppress effectively, has terrible performance with subsonic ammunition, is boring to shoot steel with due to a light bullet, and I already have a lifetime supply of .308 bullets for handloading.
>>65117898>m193
>>65117725Quite possibly the gayest picrel in the catalogue
>>65117725I've heard AUGs are not very good suppressor hosts, is there truth to this?
>>65117982it was real in my mind
>>65117731…damn I’m lonely.
>>65117731Way to tell on yourself with that specificity
>>65117725>but 300 Whisper makes a lot of sense here.How?300 is good for 10" barrel.5.56 is good for 16"+ barrelAUG is good for 16"+ barrel.
>>65117725>STILL no 6.5 grendel barrel>STILL no waffle mag ARs>STILL no .40 s&w conversion for non austrian police>STILL no australian manufactured AUG imports>but hey we got .300 fagoutAt least they let out an official 9mm conversion, thats pretty cool
>>65117725James Reeves is a lizard person.
>>65121785Lol. You're not as discreet as you think.
>>65117725>I also love that they made it so you can turn the gas off and use it as a straight-pull for even less noise. Why more gas guns don't have that in the age of suppressors is beyond me.Do you have a suppressor?
>>65117725It's a really old platform with a cheap safety and weird trigger with an open trigger guard. I bet it'll cost as much as just getting a WLVRN in .300blk. At least those can caliber convert and have comfy controls.
>>65121944Nobody asked for these. This further goes to show how desperate the West was for 7.62x39. Now that they have a caliber that's almost on par with it, everyone is adopting it and making guns in it. It's inferior since it's a 9x39 copy, has way more bullet drop than 7.62x39 due to the heavier bullet so it's not as good as an all-around round. Only does one thing good and that's being easily subsonic. Kind of a meme caliber.
>>65121931I would love a 10" barrel aug, but that physically doesn't seem to be possible without a redesign of the entire platform.
>>65122393>Do you have a suppressor? No. In fact, I don't own firearms or any sort of weapons at all. I lost everything in a tragic Antarctic ice cave and glacier exploration trip a few years back.
>>65122765>I'm Mr. Freeze>But I totally don't own a gun trust me bro1/3 of Mr. Freeze's whole thing is that he owns a gun.
>>65122760Just get a WLVRN.
>>65117725Wake me up when it becomes available in REAL FUCKIN NATO
>>65117725I hate all of you faggots and want to fuck James' thighs like he is Aisha and I am the Prophet Himself (peace be upon me)
>>65123389Just get a WLVRN.
>>65122827>>65123544>le adWhere you buy?
>>65123544Remember to use light loads or enjoy fighting the customer support to uphold your warranty.
>>65123544That thing is a fragile bitch who can't handle any heavy use.
>>65124060>>65124083You're thinking of the MDR prototype which was used for beta testing on idiots. The WLVRN is the final product and a completely different machine. Check the reviews on it.
Stop bumping this faggot fucking thread I don't want to see (gay nigger retard) OP's man crush holding that fucking memegun ever again
>>65117725Why would you?>I also love that they made it so you can turn the gas off and use it as a straight-pull for even less noise. Why more gas guns don't have that in the age of suppressors is beyond me.Because that's retarded and pointless.>boy I know what this cartridge that works just fine in a 9" barrel needs, a bullpup! Were you dropped as a child, or was it just a failed abortion that made you retarded?
>>65122429>This further goes to show how desperate the West was for 7.62x39Because a handful of civilians use it, and it's generally exclusively the domain of total retards who blow their guns up through incompetence? That's your evidence the west was desperate for 7.62x39?>Now that they have a caliber that's almost on par with it, everyone is adopting it and making guns in it.Yeah, it's pretty easy to do when it's 100% the same as 5.56 except for barrel. Everyone isn't suddenly scrambling to make guns for it, they're just ok with making a couple dozen .300 barrels, since every single other part of the gun remains the same as the 5.56 version.>It's inferior since it's a 9x39 copyIt is nothing like 9x39.>It's inferior since it's a 9x39 copyAnd ironically 7.62x39 is inferior because it has way more drop than good calibers.>Only does one thing good and that's being easily subsonic.Well duh, if you wanted literally anything else you'd use 5.56, since it's better in every single way. That's why Russia and every other country on earth that used 7.62x39 dropped it from service for copies of 5.56 or 5.56 itself.
>no L22 version of the AUG Proof there is no justice in this world.
>>65125244Looks ugly bro
>>65125239I read this in a nasally little bitch voice. Didn't surprise me that everything was WRONG.
>>65125980Read this in your voice.Doesn't surprise me that you're unloved.
