What old fixed magnification scope models should I look out for to put on my plinking .22? Or is this market already inflated to shit and not worth it vs buying new

>>65122404>Or is this market already inflated to shit and not worth it vs buying newThis is the conclusion I reached recently after searching through used listings of various optics. I figure the prices get inflated to near (or in some cases, above) the price of new due to retarded fudd boomers with various retarded mindsets, ie "they don't make 'em like they used to" or "only a sucker buys new" etc. Like ebay prices seem to just be universally higher than black friday or other sale prices for brand new units of the same optic
>>65122417I am wishing for more in the 3x to 5x range, simple as fuck with better light transmission and huge exit pupil compared to most modern zoom scopesFor like $150-200Does such a thing exist
>>65122427The thing is nobody really makes fixed zoom any more. Leupold does but they're at new Leupold prices.
>>65122434>For like $150-200https://vortexoptics.com/vortex-crossfire-ii-2-7x32-rimfire-vplex-moa-riflescope.htmlThis is rimfire scope I use for my Ruger 10/22.
just buy a PSA microprism 1x (basically unlimited eye relief) or 3x (eye relief concerns, depending on your gun you might not be able to get a good eye relief even with the optic all the way back)
>>65122486That's great and all but I want fixed zoom because it has some theoretical advantages like simpler construction/durability and larger elements, better light transmission for the price. But I am getting the feeling that these are only theoretical advantages and boomers have ruined this market like every other market. They steal our money to fund their retirements, spend it on the toys we want, and then sell them back to us with a 50% markup. I fucking hate trying to get nice things in current year
