Why do only bullseye shooters still hold pistols one-handed?
>>65125458rules
>>65125458It's required by the rules.
>>65125458To prove they are the best of the best, they shoot on hard mode to prove this and pic related the turkmen is on the highest difficulty by dismissing all the crutches the others employ. I use two hands when I shoot anything other than my carry peice. Because I am not an Olympian and im just trying to score good center mass hits. Different goals here
It increases depth of field ever so slightly to make their aiming more precise. It brings the handgun ever so slightly closer to the target, which is guaranteed to improve accuracy. There is no reason not to do it when the typical constraints like recoil or weight are not a significant issue.
>>65125458The rule is one handed only because it looks cool
>>65125458It's the rule of the sport.
Because it's based
>>65125458Imagine all the limp wristing if zoomers were shooting one handed kekShooting would become even more niche as the shooters would have culled themselves.
>>65125465>>65125646If you can shoot that good with a pistol one-handed then rules don't apply to you. They just do it because it looks cool.
>>65125458Because they're shooting an airgun with no recoil so they have to invent shit like one-handed only. There's literally nothing to be gained with modern Olympic shooting its all electric triggers and tiny little BBs.
>>65127051I hope to see you compete one day, since it's so easy and idiot proof
>>65125458Why wouldn't they shoot one-handed? Modern tactical shooting techniques like Weaver stance are about controlling recoil/muzzle rise to assist with rapid follow-up shots, and that's not what they're doing in Olympic shooting.
>>65127051>Because they're shooting an airgun with no recoil so they have to invent shit like one-handed only. The organization regulating this shit and writing the rules have competition classes for full-size centerfire pistols too. These classes are just not included in the Olympic games anymore, mainly because the logistics of setting up safe shooting ranges with spectator stands is a lot simpler for 4.5mm air guns and .22LR.
