For me, my px4 compact is more accurate than my 92. Ive never shot another 92 except my own. I find this odd. Also, is it normal to be able to LIGHTLY push the barrel of a 92 with the slide locked back?If i had to guess i can move it about five degrees at the tip of the barrel
>>65125464Barrel at rest
>>65125473Barrel with silght pressure5 degrees might be a bit much...probably half that
>>65125464Yes, when the slide is back the barrel is unlocked and can wiggle back/forth a little bit.If you are shooting the PX4 better it probably fits your hands better. That could be making as much of a difference as anything else.
>>65125477Damn it i wrote my post wrong. I meant when the slide is forward in battery
>>65125487I should check on mine but there shouldn't be much movement if any when in battery, because at that point the locking block is engaged.Did you check your locking block? Could possibly be cracked or broken, thereby allowing excessive play.
>>65125516>there shouldn't be much movement if any when in batteryThats what id assume alsoLocking block looks good
>>65125541my beretta 92 has a tiny amount of play with the barrel, not as bad as you are describing, and ive not had any real issues with the accuracyi did order an extended, match grade barrel for one of my berettas i had to hand fit and the fitment there is significantly better and there is zero play in with the barrel, i do think it made it shoot quite a lot better too but i have other mods in that beretta and like it more than my more stock beretta so it could just be thati read something that people actually shoot guns they like better than gun they dislike even if the gun they dislike is better on paper, probably some reptile brain stuff where subconsciously you are sabotaging the one you dislike because you dont want it to be better than what you like
