If you have one and set up it in the parking lot of the High School in Jackman Maine i have a clear view of the pass leading to Lesser Enchanted Pond i can see you at 20+ miles.

I can use it to recognize a person at two miles and read a newspaper at close to one. I can see the parking lot of the local hardware store from 16 miles if the air conditions are clear.

Mostly just fixing up the yard, helping out with the goats and every few days helping out the old ladies at the food bank. Sadly my amazing dog (which i didn't want because i hate dogs) isn't working out, the Maremmano-Abruzzese Sheepdog might be awesome but they are a pain in the ass, you want one? She is harmless, she just barks all night, is impossible to train or leash and is scary because she is 175lbs and not fixed not because she is a threat to humans.

That thing in OP is worth about $1500, i got it for $50 at my local historical society because i helped them set up a few tables. Read the manual that comes with your telescope and start looking at things. That's really all there is to it, buy one and start looking at things.
