>The best big game killing bullet ever designed >$2 just for the component bulletFUCK
>>65129703What are you planning to do, depopulate the entire continent?
>>65129703nigga it doesn't matter that much, any dedicated hunting bullet will do er
>>65129703just reuse it, i do it all the time with minei spent $100 on a bullet and have been using the same one for almost 3 years one
>>65129712Gonna try for the North American slam, for sure. I hunt out to 400yds and I like to practice with the same load that I hunt with. Also I zero off 10 shot groups. Shit adds up when your handloads cost tree fiddy>>65129720Sorta. There are some big differences. In most cases penetration and wound width have an inverse relationship, partitions do both *very* well. >>65129725Kek
Not my problem. We have to go back.

>>65129703>50ยข a bulletleverchads keep winning
>>65129703You're paying for the quality of manufacturing. Precision manufactured bullets aren't cheap.I'm sure some chinese factory could shit out poor clones for 1 cent per dozen though.
>>65129703>The best big game killing bullet ever designed>posts an unrelated pic
>>65129725Brilliant. Do you reuse the powder, too?
>>65130116You're not wrong. Love cast 240s out of my 44>>65130136I can load hot-cors cheaper than that, it's not a question of caliber or cartridge, rather quality>>65130144I wish Partitions were precise lol>>65130227What is it? Tell me more.
>>65130242no, that would be crazy
>>65129703Hornady interlock, Speer Hot Core, and Remington bulk have never let me down.

>>65130227What's that thingy on the left there? Looks like a pretty unique unit.
>>65130227TELL US WHAT THEY ARE>>65130670Standard cup and core is great and totally fine for most hunting, but if you want the frag of a fast interlock with the penetration of copper, Partitions are the only thing that can do that. They're incredible bullets. Certified classics too, older than most of the cup and core bullets on the market
>>65131679can't terminal ascents do pretty much the same thing
>>65130641>>65130710>>65131679those are supercavitating solids, they penetrate deeper than solid copper or thick jacketed lead core flat points while offering similar or better wounding potential.the plastic cap on the end is just for smooth feeding and aerodynamics, it doesn't really impact the performance in tissue.
>>65130641>>65130710>>65131679Swift Breakaways solids.https://www.africahunting.com/threads/real-world-results-and-experiences-with-swift-break-away-solid.87636/
>>65131765I thought that was a cheetah in the thumbnail and instantly went "holy shit dude at least make the perspective size trick somewhat convincing">click>it's a giraffeFug
>>65131755No, but those are good. The TA's lead core is bonded, you get very high weight retention at all ranges. They expand well and shed no weight. You get a narrower wound than a standard cup and core, but it will go deeper. Some people feel that's ideal. The partition is two piece, the nose fragments and makes a big permanent cavity (fastest kill with a good shot) while the shank carries on as a relatively small diameter solid (guaranteed exits on broadside shots, sure kills on oblique shots). Basically, wider wounds AND deeper than something like TA, fusion, accubond etc.The trade off is that they're expensive to make and they kind of shoot like shit compared to modern bullets.
>>65130227>>65131758>>65131765Yeah those aren't the best killing bullets, they're just optimized for retardo levels of penetration for niche hunts. Cool to learn about though.
