>>65132919The issue with gliders is that landing and take off speed is too high for that weight level. Wings needed for that would be too large and so is the landing area. I think a deployable, high inertia autogyro propeller is needed to generate extra drag and lift needed for landing at such speed.

Take a tank.Add wings and jet engine so it can fly.Add vertical and horizontal stabilizers so it's stable.Replace cannon with gatling for volume of fire.Replace treads with wheels to reduce weight.Add hardpoints for bombs and missiles to make up for the lack of a cannon.Lighten armor whereever possible, maybe an armored bathtub just for the driver.
It’s a great pipedream desu. I could even see it being workable with the tiny lil UGVs the Ukies use.
