A new russian video recently dropped that showed off some of the tanks for the tank battaltion of the 1442 guards motor rifle regiment. Figured I show off some of the screen grabs of the video that I took. Supposedly the video shows off both a T72AM and T72B3 tanks, but I'm not sure which would be which
>>65133163How long until it’s droned?
I'm waiting on Valve to drop their OS so don't go all crazy about bottom right
Apologies if some of these shots are pretty similar
And That's it for picture dump. Some things to note from what I saw/read on twitter: Allegedly the 1442nd is the first regiment to recieve the T72AM upgrades so we can start expecting to see the refurbished 72A/Urals on the battlefield relatively soon. I'm going to guess that Tank 124 is the T72AM while Tank 136 is the T72B3 though from a non tank autists perspective the two of them look extremely similar. So I'm not sure if this means that the B3 and AM upgrades are drawing from the same pool of design documents and parts or if the tanks are just of the same 72 variants in reality. The video was filled to the brim with random lighting after effects and sudden jump cuts. Video quality was also locked at 1080p and I think the website degraded the quality even further
>>65133221Neat, these closeups will allow better BDA after they get droned. For the record, the ERA and cope net/chains/etc. will not really help them survive.
So, what are they even expected to do at this point? Poor-man's SPG battery?
>>65133257SPGs and assault spearheads. The video had a lot of shots of tanks being used as indirect fire support in relatively urban areas
>>65133177https://github.com/massgravel/Microsoft-Activation-ScriptsRun this if you care.
Huh, and here I thought T72s were extinct in the wild
>slap ERA and copecages to T72A>IS NEW TANK))))))) URAAAAAAA))))))
>>65133360They have Urals (i.e. the very first version) and T-72As (mostly turret upgrades, some additional armor) leftThe Urals have no laser rangefinder, IIRC. The A variant has better turret armor, some additional hull armor, laser rangefinder. . and maybe mounting points for Kontakt 1 ERA installled?
>>65133360In terms of what remains in the Storage yards? Yeah, pretty much. Various types of 72s are still running around Ukraine however
>>65133163>Oops all ERA module side skirtsWhat's interesting about the developments of field mods, semi-factory mods and factory developments is it kind of gives insight on where the FPV operators trend to aim after one weak spot is better protected. One of the developments I saw was UVZ trying to put ERA on the front skirt just above the idler. That position kind of fucked with me in games like War Thunder (yeah yeah) since I could count the times stray and actual aimed shots would bypass the bulk of front armor, not clip the idler and take out the interior since it is just the hull side. That aside there's plenty of videos of engine hits from the side (became less frequent), the rear (a little less frequent when more protection was put in) and the top (still fairly frequent) along with just-above-the-radiator hits to go into the rear of the turret basket and/or into the autoloader if not the ammo stowage/rear fuel tank.
>>65133177https://github.com/archlinux/archinstallwhy would you wait for a goyslop repackaged version of something that already exists
>>65133163Im picturing a game that you trade victory points for cope cage parts with an HP meter, go out and fight, and slowly stones blow off your panels. You have to keep winning to keep replacing damaged parts. Then you can upgrade to chain spinners and dandelion tank wire.
>>65133163How many T-72s are left in Russia?
>>65133221How many T-72A's are supposed to be in storage?
>>65133179>ERA blocks>on the side of the barrelIt probably doesn't matter as they're just full of cinderblocks anyway, but still
