Genuine question about the Elcan: be it video games or dot plus magnifier combos, I have never liked switching back and forth between magnifications. I would rather keep it at 3x, 4x, etc.. Is the main draw of the Elcan use with thermals? What's the benefit over a top dot if I'm used to it? Adjusting my chin somehow feels like disruptive than moving either hand to adjust magnification. This might be a personal preference, wondering if anyone else is the same?
