I'm looking for a good thermal/night vision rifle scope, and want to keep the price as low as possible. I was thinking the DNT optics Thermnight TNC225R, but the thermal is pretty low resolution and identifying might not be great beyond even just 50 meters. Not great for hunting. Are there any other models you know of that can range adequately at even just 100 meters? I am willing to spend a bit more, but under 2k would be ideal. (I'm in Canada too btw so keep that in mind).

Oneleaf MARS for $1,400. 640x512 sensor. LRF. 60hz. It's thermal only but you cannot beat that price for those specs. The DNT you're looking at uses digital NV and will be extremely reliant on an illuminator to see shit. It's not true analog NV.
Buy the Oneleaf and then a cheap pair of digital Binos if you need digi NV to confirm ID before taking shots. With the Oneleaf's sensor res and your distances however that shouldn't be too much an issue.

So your budget is about $400 USD? Sorry anon, that doesn't get much in terms of thermal

Hmm thanks anon

Debating on 35 mm 2x or 50 mm 2.8x

Get the hs635.

Only 50hz versus 60hz on the Oneleaf. It's got digi NV though which is nice to have but you really want analog. Also $800 or so more USD.
Analog-thermal-daytime is big time money though and will run you five digits even from Aliexpress.

Shut the fuck up faggot you don't have a oneleaf and you have never looked down a thermal. You're not even comparing it to the correct dnt model. Stop going around shilling things you have no experience with.

Nta the oneleaf is nice. Dnt shit sucks. However id say save your money and buy one of the Steiner 640 units that always go on sale. They are nice unless you want a lrf (i dont).

For 5.56 id go 35mm. On a .308 id do the 50mm

I picked out this for an air rifle I never bought.

I will buy it with the rifle.

Should be a nice pairing.

Missed your pills?
>>65149644
What does the steiner get you over the Oneleaf besides being a clip on?
>>

Id grab the Steiner tws if i did it again. Its image is a little better, its menus are more user friendly, it is easier to sight in and setup profiles for different guns/loads, just generally more user friendly and feels more robust (crazy saying that about a stiner product). I dont want lrf and its easy to disable the wifi/bluetooth on the Steiner which is important to me. Every thermal with bluetooth/wifi is super easy to hack/stream snipe with a basic vlc app and an elementary level knowledge of “hacking”

>Missed your pills?
No I didn't because the hs635 doesn't have digital nv. Maybe stop reading spreadsheets and get experience with the things you are going around talking about. You're not an expert just stop.
>>
They used "3-in-1" which normally implies day, night, thermal. I see on further review it's just clip on, standalone, and handheld.
If it doesn't have digital NV then it has nothing to offer on the Oneleaf yet costs far more. The Oneleaf is two-in-one by their standard, sure, but it's cheaper and op is on a budget.
>get experience
I have three thermals. A Burris, Raytheon, and an Armasight handheld.
>You're not an expert just stop.
You genuinely write like you're having a breakdown. Chill out.
