>be dixiefag>want to shoot my guns>options are as follows:>Indoor range, $20+ an hour, 25 yards max, no buckshot/steel case/m855/etc>DNR ranges, all at least 40 minutes away, have to deal with unsupervised retards or DNR RSOs, 100yds max, single lane only, m855 banned>Private clubs, all over $500, require probationary periods, state/federal background checks, member endorsements, can't join anyways because they're 21+ :')>Tiny patches of USFS land with no spots big enough to shoot rifles because loleastcoastSometimes I'm tempted to sell all my guns besides my carry gun because of this. Trying to go shooting as a poorfag just at a minimum to not suck is awful. I can't be the only one who feels like this, right?
>>65148702What state? Im sure you can expand your options if you just commit to driving an hour away.
>>65148706SC, what I posted covers every public and private range anywhere within the state within about an hour and a half of me. There might be some rifle ranges across state lines, but I mostly like shooting handguns and being under 21 it's a pain to go shooting anywhere with a pistol out of state.
>>65148702For god sake Sgt Johnson, stop this madness, she has ketchup everywhere! No. I will export American culture to her tummy!>12 hours laterI am sorry Kim Il Sung, I can no longer eat the Kimchi.
>>65148722The sick bastards...
>>65148702We don't have the playgrounds to larp around in like they do out west. A DNR range is the best bet that covers every base at the expense of some gas. Unsupervised retards are everywhere anyway, so their presence is a moot point. >m855 banned it sucks and it's retarded, but if you want to shoot your ar, you'll have to get regular ammo for it. just save the m855 for rainy day ammo.
If you don't have family/friends with land to shoot on you're FUCKED
>>65148769>Unsupervised retards are everywhere anyway, so their presence is a moot point.I know it's basically the cost of entry to any public range, but I seriously hate being around other shooters and RSO boomers.
>>65148702I understand your frustration as someone who lives in Texas. Indoor ranges all over, and the one outdoor range near me is quite expensive. South Dakota just built a new shooting center near Rapid City, wish the cucks in the TX legislature could maybe do the same. The thing about the south is it’s great for acquiring and owning guns, but you shooting them is difficult because broad private land ownership is ingrained
>>65148702missed opportunity to redraw the brazier as a bbq
>>65148702>>65149427>but you shooting them is difficult because broad private land ownership is ingrainedI don't understand the problem. I grew up in the south and lived in Texas for a while. Everybody knows somebody with land. Maybe you don't own land in the sticks, but surely someone in your family or circle of acquaintances does.
>>65149427Man that sucks. Western canada is the opposite, totally cucked when it comes to gun ownership but you can basically go up any mountain road, make sure you're on crown land, find a safe backdrop, and start shootin. Cheap outdoor ranges are also common, $10/month gets me unlimited daylight access to a 100m range
>>65148702There's local shooting spots around. My buddy and I used to go to this county road bridge over a small river and shoot there. Cars would be passing overhead, but nobody cares.
>>65148702why are americans always so soft? you guys don't know how good you have it. try being eastern european, the closest range to me that allows rifles is a 80-90 minute drive away and if I want to shoot on ''public land'' I have to bribe the boomer who leads my hunting group for a permit
>>65149991>try being eastern europeanNo, and your masters convincing you that the shit life you lead is actually a virtue should have died with the USSR. Imagine basing your personality on being the starving kid in Africa that's supposed to keep me from throwing away a half eaten sandwich
>>65149790Love of the sport vs love of profit, really.
>>65149991>the closest range to me that allows rifles is a 80-90 minute drive away and if I want to shoot on ''public land'' I have to bribe the boomer who leads my hunting group for a permitSo the same problem I have?>>65149645>I grew up in the south and lived in Texas for a while. Everybody knows somebody with land. Maybe you don't own land in the sticks, but surely someone in your family or circle of acquaintances does. Not really.
>>65150013I'm neither from the ex USSR nor is life anywhere near as bad as you imply dickwad, its just that bureaucracy can be really stuck in the 90s in certain waysTZD btw>>65150035>So the same problem I have?I doubt it senpai, you have to go through some hellish hoops to get guns here, its not as retarded as california, but still stupid compared to how easy you have it in most of the USA
>>65150013>east coast>not even 21 years oldeither cuban (florida) or jew yorker, imagine being so fucking retarded so bitch about the most simple of things and don't even realize you're being fed gold compared to the others living outside of your place.get a fucking job instead of wasting your time on a meme degree and get a range membership or just move out to a different state.
>>65150045You complained about the difficulty of finding a range, not buying guns.>>65150051That anon is not me. I said what state I'm from at the top of the thread.
>>65150074>>65150074>You complained about the difficulty of finding a range, not buying guns.ok that's fair. keep in mind the closest range is only 50m long and anything above 100m is 2-3 hours away, for 800+ I need to drive to another country and take out a passport for the gunI'm working on making my own 150m but yea that is its own challenge
>>65149645>Everybody knows somebody with land. Maybe you don't own land in the sticks, but surely someone in your family or circle of acquaintances does. Most of my family who do have any land live up in the Midwest and my frens are fellow poorfags
>40 minutes awayAre you actually complaining about that?
>>65150473In this economy?
>>65150488Anything under an hour is blink-and-you're-there. My range is 2.5h away.
>>65148702I see this image and just think of the North Korean defectors trying American barbecue for the first time and seeing more meat on one plate than they ever did in North Korea.
