Can someone explain to me how this little thing actually prevents the trigger from getting snagged and pulled on shit causing NDs?Asking out of ignorance because it obviously works when the one striker fire gun that doesnt have one keeps shooting people but it doesnt make sense to me. How could anything that could snag at the tip/center of the trigger not activate it enough for a trigger pull?
You should email SIG to ask about it
>>65152652It has nothing to do with snagging. It's a drop safety. The point is to prevent the mass of the trigger itself from pulling the trigger by inertia if the gun is dropped.
>>65152670but how come you never hear of guns with the little digus shooting people as they move in and out of holsters? If its true and the sigs are shooting people because the triggers are getting snagged why does that never happen with glocks or m&ps
>>65152679>but how come you never hear of guns with the little digus shooting people as they move in and out of holsters? That has nothing to do with the dingus.>If its trueIts not true.
>>65152682Then why are sigs shooting niggas?
>>65152686Because the issue with the p320 is not the dingus, you dingus.
It's a drop safety more than anything else
>>65152704then elucidate me
>>65152686It is Sig's claim that the trigger is getting inadvertently pulled, and that's what causes these negligent discharges. The complainants allege otherwise, saying that the gun fires without the trigger being pulled. Go watch the numerous videos of the incidents occurring, and tell me if you think the trigger is being pulled (or not). The actual mechanism by which the gun could fire without the trigger being pulled is complicated. Most people who believe that such behavior is occurring say that it's due to the striker falling off the sear ledge after being jostled. They say this is potentially possible for numerous reasons, including the sear ledge being peened or otherwise malformed, or the chassis system causing too much slop between the striker and sear.
>>65152711>or the chassis system causing too much slop between the striker and searthat sounds the most plausible with the tolerance stacking and poor craftmanship of the Indians producing them
It doesn't do shit for safety. All other replies (it's actually a drop safety) are cope. It's exists to be a $0.05 way to deter lawyers. That's it.
>>65152753To add, you should not buy a firearm with this sort of safety (just like safety warning/"retract slide" engravings) because it means you are cucked by lawyers by proxy. This also includes magazine disconnect safeties, tang safeties on hammer-fired lever guns that traditionally used half-cock safeties, etc.
>>65152652It doesn't.>>65152679You do. Constantly. It's literally called Glock Leg.>>65152686A combination of cops are fucking retarded, cops are using shitty holsters, and it's happening at 1/100th the rate you think it is because a single jewish lawyer is responsible for 97% (yes, look it up) of all lawsuits surrounding the P320.
>>65152757what about the Berettas what say "will fire without magazine"
>>65152753Okay Mr. Authority with zero evidence
>>65152652that little thing is a cuck concession glock made when they were told to put a safety on their gun. I do not respect glock or glock owners for their cuck compliance.
>>65152771What about them?Stop listening to people in this thread. I think you have autism if you cannot tell these noguns are telling lies do do do do do do. This is not a place for information go to /hg/ if you want less chance of corrupted trolling.
>>65152820>go to /hg/ i swear we don't troll in thereyou troll AND flirt, you fucking faggot liar.
>>65152652it's a drop safety that striker fired pistols need to prevent them from firing when dropped on the rear of the slide, which bypasses the trigger disconnect safety by pulling the trigger with next to no resistance. the dingus prevents that from happening. for all intents and purposes glocks are drop-safe pistols with no safety that are intended to be carried condition 0, with all subsequent risks involved doing so
>>65152758I would never use a soft holster for a GlockApparently some absolute madmen do
