Love me Ruger P89. Simple as
>>
>>65156038
The mark 3 grips that came with it look pretty similar to the pachmayr grips and have that nice thumb/finger rest on both sides, and they've been the comfiest pistol panels I've ever shot with, not that I've shot with a terribly large amount. I have played with either original or mark 2 grips on it and hated the shape and bulk. I also like bunching up my tiny fingers so I doubt I'd appreciate the grooves on the front of the pach grips. I'm excited to try it out with the new stair tape on it (that's already lifting, but whatever, I'll degrease it and reapply if I need to).

Anons, I've got a quandary. I've found a handgun I have wanted to buy for 20+ years but after taxes and fees it's going to be around $1500. I could maybe afford it but it would be a hit. It's from a private seller so no chance of a holiday sale or discount and I don't think I would find the gun in such an immaculate condition again. The seller is throwing in 5+ mags which are already hard to find so it seems like a pretty great deal.

My question for you is: do I just fucking buy it and deal with the consequences? If so, any tips for mitigating the financial burden of this sale? Thanks for any help.

Just buy the damn thing, sell some other shit you aren’t as interested in. See if gunstores near you do consignment or do some private sales.

Haven't carried this in years. 40F outside, perfect clothing for it. Went to the local pizzeria and back. Felt fine with the "new" light and modified shell.
Eventually I'll load up some hard cast 255gr .45 Supers and it'll be for bear county.
>>
>>65156090
Those tall-ass target sights look nice. How hard is it to pop that coin out of the grip? I'd replace it with a googly eye.

Do you know if the backstrap portion adds bulk to the grip? I like how thin the hi power's grip feels front-to-back. It's not often I can reach all the controls on a pistol as easily as I can with it.
>>
>>65156113
I liked it a lot. I’m not a hi power guy, actually hated how people talked about them, but that one at the store makes me want to buy it.

That or the SA-35 polished blue
>>
I've wanted a USPC forever but I'm coming around on P30S aesthetics and with night sights and more comfortable ergonomics (for me) it seems like the better buy. It's also $200 cheaper new.

Is this the wrong decision?

I imagine the fireball would be biblical if the barrel was any shorter or if they removed that brake.
>>
>>65156309
You might be right, and then it is not based. It's just that, technically not a rifle. The shabbos handgun, skirting around some state law. Flatter shooting than 44 Magnum, but doesn't violate the necked cartridge ban. Attachment for scope, bipod, muzzle brake for less recoil, stuff hunters love. No sling mount included, as per tradition.
I would like it more if Taurus just went ahead and made a handgun that is impractical, inefficient, and without a niche. You don't need a 350 Legend revolver with a muzzle brake and a light rail, but here you go anyway, because it's good at making fireballs and shooting far with flat trajectory. That would be based.

It very well could be nitrated. I don't know much of the history of it other than I got it used with the OG box, and the previous owner kept it in a safe. I take good care of it and clean it after every range visit. I've shot probably 500 or so rounds out of it since I got it about 8 months ago, with the only 2 issues being due to using mecgars.

30 bones on scamazon. There were cheaper options, but this seemed like it had the best chance of fitting guns that are on opposite ends of the bell curve for thickness and height.

Just got a steyr L9A2, found one for cheap in a pawnshop and i missed the liquidation everyone did. Anyone have any idea what kind of WML fits this thing? Maybe a tlr 7? I much prefer under or flush fit lights and all my full size lights jut out way too far or have a huge gap between the trigger guard and the switches.

I'd say make a gunbroker search but the results will be flooded with 98% overpriced crap. It's gonna be hard to filter through the noise but those deals are out there, be patient and save ya bux!

>>65156611
The top result on the list came with 5 mags at $950, even with buying two more it would still be $460 less

The third result at $999 had 4 mags and a TLR-1HL with mount, a $130+ add, AND had a jet funnel with compatible mags, another ~$150+ add, making it a $720 gun if including 2 mags, add another 5 mags for $225 new = $945 for the exact same thing anon was looking to pay $1,500 for.

$1,500 for a Expert with 7 mags is pretty outrageous, it's possible to get a Mark 23 for less than that

There is no such thing. Always been two different factories at opposite ends of Deutschland. OTOH the only centerfires that Umarex ever made at Arnsberg are the CCP and PK/PD380 (which are actually okay despite that handicap), all Walther centerfires have been made at Ulm since they rerestarted production after Manurhin in the 70s or whatever

If in doubt, look for the proofs. Antler = Ulm, triple crowns = Koln/Cologne (Arnesberg uses this proof house)

It’s the gun people always wanted. I work at a Gunstore, dozens of people were asking for hammer fired Glock 19s, the phones ringing off the hook asking for a hammer fired Glock 19. Finally we have it. The hammer fired Glock 19 by Wilson Combat.
>>
>>65156679
>BRICK texture
>>
>>65156703
If there is one thing I want with my hammer fired gun, it’s to be unable to access the hammer no matter what. I really want to not be able to touch it at all.
>>
>>65156703
I'm just taking the piss since the $1900 price tag puts it well out of reach of most normalfags who'd want a hammer fired Glock. That's definitely in enthusiast territory, and power to them if they want to pony up the money for it Cool that it fits in Glock holsters though, but I'll just wait for the Turks or Keltec or Ruger to make a sub-$1000 clone.

>>
>>65156866
It's literally just the regular Glock safeties plus a grip safety.
>trigger pad
On a Glock.
>disconnector
On a Glock.
>firing pin block
On a Glock.
The only weird thing is wanting a grip safety instead of a thumb safety. But it's Wilson Combat, i.e. old 1911 dudes, so from that context a grip safety sounds better than a thumb safety because proper use automatically disables a grip safety without any extra training.
>>
>>65156139

Does anyone have any suggestions for a cheap .22 LR automatic pistol? I've got a Rossi R22/Mossberg Plinkster and I'd like something I can take to the range and share ammo. I'm kind of torn if I want an auto or should just buy a Heritage single action, as I do like the look of them and they're cheap, too. I don't need something tactical or super chic, just something that doesn't jam too much and isn't too expensive.
So, what suggestions do you have?
>>
>>65156866
The P320 tolerance stacking shitshow has made people fuddmaxx when it comes to safeties.
>>
>>65157012
TX22, you can even make it fully semiautomatic for like 14 bucks with a piece of sheet metal.
>>
>>65156679
Grip safety and other bizarre design features aside, how is it seriously the current year and nobody at Wilson combat walked by the CAD file for this and said "what the fuck is that stupid grip texture design lmao". Why are aesthetics something that is still royally blundered these days?

Ackchyually, there are no disconnectors in factory Glock pistols because the sear is integral to the trigger bar. The component is really a cam for the sear and the slide has a cam track to prevent "out of battery" fire

Suppressor had mounting thread too deep in the body and would end up pushing against slide, preventing the firing pin to reach the rim.

So I did babby's first lathe job last week when a friend showed me how to use his lathe and turned the can 1 mm shorter. Fits perfectly now.

The raw aluminium surface even makes the sights semi-usable. Just need to paint the edge to tidy it up.
