Once again Russia loses yet another rare airframe due to the war. There was also a ka-27, Tor, pantsir, and a cargo ship hit in the same video that this is from
Video was from Special Kherson Cat and he also has other videos showing off more AD systems and Radars being bombed by Ukraine. As far as the BE-200 is concerned the airframe is mostly configured for firefighting roles while Russia has a minimum of 3 for maritime patrols. Roughly 20 were ever built and the first airframe flew in 1998 and came into full service by mid 2003. Of the 20 or so built so far, 1 airframe crashed in Turkey while fighting forest fires during 2021, another was damaged in a drone strike in 2024 that allegedly damaged its left wing, and now this would be the 2nd total airframe loss
That is almost as bad as ...War sucks, it's how rich people get books written about them.
>>65156988The funny part is they weren't rare before Monke got invasion fever.
>>65157033>20 ever built>Powered by Ukrainian made engines>Not rareYou fucking high? Russia has tried extremely hard to get other nations to buy these things, but no one but only Algeria and Azerbaijan wanted them so 5 of the 20 airframes are outside of Russia.
it is honestly fucking incredible how much further ahead Ukraine is than any other army on earth technologically. I remember watching the Russian Roulette maidan series in 2014, the army was a literal POS jokehttps://youtu.be/VNig07RtWxA?si=BMnqh876C2wvA9qh
>>65157048It has been produced in pretty large numbers for post Soviet Russian airliner sized aircraft.
>>65156988That's not a destroyed plane, those are just the decoy tyres burning to mislead the xoxols)))))
>>65156988Fekkin want, stop blowing the bu66ers up.

>>65157119Maybe, one day.
Honestly, the people who suffer from this are the people who need firefighter aircraft. There was that one year where several countries around the Mediterranean had massive wildfires and there was a shortage of aircraft. These BE 200s were there doing their part. I get that they're Russian, but there's not a huge industry for amphibious firefighters.Pic related was taken within a NATO country in 2024.
