do tanks ever actually fire on the move in combat?in video games stabilizers on tanks is important, but looking at footage of tanks in war makes it look like stabilizers aren't ever used in terms of making the tank be able to be used to zoom around and shoot shit looks like every normal/smart way of using tanks is to have some people on the ground ahead of the tank to find out what to shoot, they tell the tank where the thing to shoot is, the tank drives up, stops, then shoots and stabilizers are really only there to reduce the time between the tank stopping and shooting, not really there to make the tank be able to shoot on the move does that make sense?
no, you're a dumbass. Next time you're riding in a car, try looking through one lens of a pair of binoculars and see how fast and comfortable it is to place it on a target every time you stop.
>>65164471>do tanks ever actually fire on the move in combat?Yes, it happened all the time during the battle of 73 Easting because the claps could land hits while moving and the Iraqis had a hard time hitting a moving target. It depends a lot on the war and the tanks being used, you aren't going to be doing it much in Ukraine because driving around makes it easy for drones to spot you.
Plenty of videos of Ukrainians with western tanks shooting while moving. They really liked the novelty of it and found it useful.
