Why do indoor ranges jew you out so hard? Went shooting with a coworker to get him into guns. We were barely there for over an hour, I brought my own guns and ammo so no rentals/buying ammo there. Shit was almost $100. 6 month membership at an outdoor range is 275, yearly 425. Still a scam but it would be cheaper in the long run. Fuck this town

Where can I go for questions relating to 3d printed 2A stuff? I got my form 1s back to print cans for my .22 takedown rifle, but no matter what I do, I cannot get some of the more popular models to thread on to the adapter perfectly straight. They will catch the threads snugly, but they just will not line up correctly with the bore. I've tried multiple slicing programs, manual and auto leveling, print settings, filaments, different guns to make sure the barrel isn't messed up, etc. To no avail.

bought my first rifle, PA-15 from PSA, and i took it out and shot it last week. I should've cleaned it then, but im cleaning it now for the first time. outside of breaking it down, pulling the bolt apart and cleaning the components, and doing a pullthrough a few times on the barrel, is there any other spots I should clean? Where should I NOT put gunlube on the gun?Also, it was my first time shooting a rifle, and the barrel started smoking a bit after a few magazines. I presume thats normal for the first time a guns being shot, gotta break them in right? The muzzle device was smoking a bit, but it was smoke coming off the length of the barrel. Is that a concern?
>>65370394They put grease on everything to keep it from rusting in storage, you can either clean it off or shoot it off like you did, which makes smoke.You don't need to clean guns immediately unless you are shooting corrosive ammunition which you were not. The AR-15 will go many tens of thousands of rounds without cleaning as long as you lubricate the action thoroughly. When you do clean, just get the carbon off as best you can and call it good. There is no need to get all autistic about scrubbing every bit of scoring off the bolt like you're Private Pyle.
