The nice indoor range I used shut down last year and I haven't gone shooting since. I even got my first AR and 500 rounds but I've been lazy and don't want to drive ~45 mins to the next closest range. I need to quit being such a bum.

gents any suggestions for good quality 1911 grips with decent feel?I tried two different VZ grips on a CZ a while back and i thought they were insanely coarse and rough feeling so I dont think I will go with them for my 1911...

>>65363474When I was going through aligning them what I gleamed is there's like a 70% chance they're on so tight you have to punch them out. 30% chance you luck out and they're moveable with a sight pusher. Just luck of the draw what tolerances S&W factory gives you.I used a nice sight pusher and I cranked the shit out of it and the whole slide was starting to twist in an alarming way (no i wasn't catching the slide with the pusher just the base of the sights) so I just called it and stuck it in a vise with masking take on it. I used a 3/32 steel punch I'm pretty sure with a normal estwing claw hammer. I think the recommended method is brass punches and a nylon/brass gunsmithing hammer to be more gentle. You can also put pb blaster or wd40 around the sights for a couple hours to potentially loosen things up.

>>65363684Damn good deal, but personally I’d go for something a bit more widely supported in terms of aftermarket and parts availability. The CZ P-10 can periodically be had for not too much more than that, and it’s pretty much the peak of current strikerslop right out of the box.
