I'm the anon who thought J frames were too big for me to carry last thread. Are north american arms mini revolvers ok? They seem the right size for me to carry comfortably.
>>65391712I don't have any drawings / traces of a 2011 pistol but here's an animated QSZ-92.
Why does pastebin post ugly women?
We posting 1911s?
>>65391818That was not actually my intent but it turns out that the majority of my handguns are 1911s >50% so that’s how it worked out.
>>65391809Because you totally asked for it and hes just totally trying to give what people asked for. He just watches troons and vtubers and furries ironically, just to make you happy. Oh by the way he decided all of this on his own without asking anyone.

>>65391818What about my knock off 1911?
>>65391845Revolvers are cooler
>>65391796If a j frame is uncomfortable for you right now IWB, get an lcp max or bg 2.0 for the meantime. You will eventually figure out how to comfortably carry a j-frame. Don't get an naa mini, they are single action and not good defensive options for new shooters at all.

>>65391880What if I practice with the single action a lot? They just seem really neat
>>65391751It's always been honor system dude. You just gotta get over that if you want to participate in the challenge. There has never been anything stopping anybody from doing 8 attempts at the correct range let alone just bringing it in to 3 yards, except that the entire point is to have fun and challenge yourself. I haven't seen a single target here that I went "yeah that guys full of shit".
You guys have poor taste in nips.
>>65391982Fuck you
>>65391751Nobody is lying about these things, only fucking fags do that shit and the only one it hurts is them because they're not giving it their all.
Important to remember that if you see a post that looks like bait, just ignore it >>65391979There's only been one I've seen that is clearly fake. Everything else is well within the realm of possibility.
>>65391914>magtechImagine the smell.>>65391982Back to it, are we? Very well.
>>65391923Yeah I know but I'm using it as a springboard into reloading, otherwise I won't care enough to start. But nobody's responding so I guess I just go back to not trying (my natural state)
>>65391974If you really love it then a gun you practice thousands of rounds with will likely be better in your hands than something you hate because then you're unlikely to train with it. If it sings to your soul get it and shoot it man. Just remember the smaller you go the more recoil impulse sucks, and NAA has never cared if their guns suck to shoot only how small they can go. My friend's Dad carries a NAA 45LC Derringer. Every time he shoots it he shouts "OW!" And fucking drops the thing. But it's double barrel. So this fucking boomer picks it up and does it AGAIN with the same result. Guys on the church's security team and is an absolute liability but at least he's having fun.>>65391982>>65391987You guys are going to make me go back to Taiwan in November and grab a titty mag from Ximending district. >>65392002Could you keep going? In my ultimate conceal carry battle pistol project a necked caliber 2011 is the next phase, .357 Sig makes sense but the performance of .40 Super (.45 necked to .40) is phenomenal. I saw a 155 gr .40 going 1800 fps or something FAST where the JHP fragmented like a RIP round and then the core of the JHP punched to 18 inches
I haven't manga nor doujin to contribute ;(
>>65391756The Klobb has never been dumb, anon. Follow your heart. But you should also consider>MP5K (AOW config) or Mini/Micro Uzi slung under massive edgelord jacket>Deagle>Mark 23>various hunting revolvers>B&T USW-G on longslide pistol (just make sure you avoid the non-Glock options, B&T half-assed their design and they are pieces of shit)
>>65392010Your friends dad sounds funny at least. I'm just going with the 22 mag one, the recoil doesnt seem that bad.
JFC, anon– that's not even a reaction GIF
>>65392054I'm just in the mood to doro post
>>65392038I have unironically thought about all of these except the revolvers. Also I just remembered some company has stock for revolvers lol. MP5K would still be too big since I don't wear a trench coat. Glock USW is probably best but I don't really like B&T. I wonder if they'll improve since their legal issues have been resolved.
>>65392048If you do go for an naa, don't go for a 22 magnum unless it's a model with a second cylinder for 22. 22 magnum is only barely cheaper than 9mm sometimes unlike 22 which you'd actually be able to practice a ton with. Also if you insist on getting an naa get the ranger. It's the easiest to reload both at the range and in a potential defensive use, which means more training per hour of range time. But good god look up things like clipdraws and smartcarrys for your j frame it's not that hard to conceal one.
>>65391756Have you considered one of the upcoming currently vaporware MP7s? I know PSA is doing one, apparently HK might be as well.

>>65392088I saw federal punch 22 mag for 16 per round the other day which didnt seem too bad. And last thread one anon recommended a neat trigger clip thing for the j frame I'm going to try out some time too. Thanks for the advice anon
>>65391751uh oh you've made everyone angry>>65391712>USPSA target, 5 seconds, 25 yards, as many hits in the A and B zones as possible to simulate engaging a shooter facing 90 degrees from you at distance.so just a 25 yard bill drill basically?at least add in a course of strong hand only and support hand only
>>65392113Yeah man, support hand only, 25 yards, five seconds from draw, on a partial target to simulate a 90 degree shooter. Meanwhile, the last challenge had most people not passing at 7 yards in untimed fire. What could go wrong?
To the anon that wanted to know how webuyguns is, it went pretty well. >Took 4 pictures and submitted, got an offer the next day. >Packed it up with the FFL paper and shipping label they sent for me to print out>Payment was ready a day or two after they got it>Payment is either a check they mail or an ACH secure deposit (my bank is weird about those but it went through) >Payment took 3 real days and 1 business day from submitting my bank info. Not too bad considering I just had to go to FedEx once, I think you can have FedEx pick it up from your house too so even less work. I'm fairly happy with getting 70% of what I originally paid for it, was more than what the two gun stores I talked to offered.
>>65392176Glad to hear it went well. That guy also has a somewhat comfy youtube channel, if you weren't aware. He covers some of the more interesting guns he buys before moving them.
>>65392093>pcc/smg has the ballistic performance of a pistolElectricity wasted on a post like this jist because you want to yap about Doro.
>>65392113The idea of the challenge was to simulate the situation the 5.7 guy engaged the shooter. Subconsciously I was poking at his lack of an optic on his incredibly goofy carry set up. We still have no information that this guy hit the target, no shade on him because he still stepped up and also rendered aid to a wounded victim. We also don’t know much about the second person (off duty LE) who also engaged. Reports so far show that the shooter killed himself.

In an age of increasingly viable 3D printing, the move is probably to just print yourself a receiver/frame for your favorite flavor of strikerslop with a doohickey on the back to accept Flux or USW pattern brace hardware.

Might be a dumb question, but can you improve the trigger break of a gun at home? Like by polishing/filing components? Is this something people do?
>>65392448yeah but you need to know what youre doing or you can fuck shit up
>>65392448Yeah dry fire 10 billion times
>>65392452Know what you're doing as in there are tutorials and youtube videos on it or know what you're doing as in go to gunsmithing school?
>>65392448It depends. With regards to polishing, that only improves the trigger mushiness that is due to friction. In most modern machined guns, there aren't a ton of burrs or rough surfaces on trigger components, so polishing only helps a small bit. Most of the trigger break "feel" is caused by the trigger's geometry.Remember, the trigger is doing mechanical work by moving the sear out of the way of the hammer/striker, and so to lighten a trigger, you need to either lessen the mating surface area (this is what gunsmiths do on 1911s when they put in negative sear angle), or improve the trigger's leverage (this is what a minus connector does on a Glock, and why lighter Glock triggers feel spongier than heavy ones).
magtech 9mm 124gr jhp works well?
>>65391950>gun oil smells the bestG96
>>65392448hit rub points with flitzit depends on the design, but polishing the trigger bar where it rubs against a polymer frame, polishing other contact surfaces, and polishing the FP safety plunger and plunger actuator tab on the trigger bar can make the trigger slightly smootherdon't do anything else unless you're actually both mechanically intelligent and know exactly what you're doing, which your question indicates no to both
>>65392471watching tutorials and having the proper tools is a good start
Kel-Tec PR-3AT or Bersa Thunder 380? for ccw
>>65392448Yes, but you can also fuck it up so it's something most people won't (or shouldn't) tackle. I mod triggers when I can, it's fun. I just put an overtravel stop in my CP33 yesterday. No you don't need school, but if you're doing real modifications like stoning engagement surfaces you'd better at least use some kind of fixture. Don't be stoning that stuff by hand. Wear spots whatever just Dremel Flitz it, but it's probably not going to make all that much difference unless the host gun is truly crunchy. Springs are one of the easiest and most effective improvements you can makeWhat gun, and what do you want to do?

>>65392586there are none unfortunately
>>65392639None on the 'tube in big '26?
>>65392632>it's far simpler but significantly more in depthit's much cheaper if you fuck up something simple, but much easier to accidentally kill or permanently maim yourselfyou're dealing with very small tolerances and allowances, so taking too much off a part that you're not sure exactly what it does or how it interacts with other parts can very easily make a gun unsafemost trigger work that retards do on youtube is equivalent to polishing and grinding your camshaft when you could just take a screwdriver and adjust your valve lash

>>65392801TP7 is the new MP7 that’s close to release, it’s based on the shitty tommybuilt design but they’ve fixed it (claim to have fixed it).
>>65392795Why would you bother shooting the liver? That would just hurt really bad. I guess that's why.

>>65392811Just move the target back a bit and shoot until it looks like this again then just move the target back and shoot it until it looks like this again.
>>65392808Because it was a target I could visibly see and check my groupings with.
>>65392808I think getting shot anywhere would hurt kinda bad>>65392805You meant the NT7 from Uo? Nah, fuck that. HK MP7 is *supposedly* going to be 2500 and release Q4 this year. Although I worry that they're going to pull an SL8 and make it single stack only lmao. If that does happen then I may buy an NT7. I'm hoping there's more info about it by then.
>>65392795>>65392811bruh get a stack of B-8 targets if you're trying to improve your groupsyou're not getting any useful information on whatever pseudo-anatomy targets you're buying for $5/ea from the range
>>65392808if you dont have a liver you cant live
>>653928111. Change targets more often or paste the holes, if you buy in bulk online you can get targets for as low as 20 cents each 2. For slow fire, shoot 5 round groups. 3. Make sure your grip and technique is consistent, isosceles is the most intuitive and also best technique. You just put the gun in front of you, no stupid arm tension shit.4. Dry fire. Master pulling the trigger where the muzzle/sights do not move. Visualize bringing the trigger straight back. Your trigger pull should ideally be one solid motion, so when you speed up you just do what you normally do faster
>>65392811Honestly your groups are more than fine. If you want to tighten them you can dry fire practice at home, but what you may want to practice is speeding up your shots. You may miss more at the start but you will improve faster if you're making mistakes and addressing them than if you're always shooting within your comfort zone. Try stuff like double tap drills.

>>65392850Usually that's something I would do immediately even if just for looks. This one I'm going to leave totally factory.

Speaking of optics, Holosun sent me new screws no questions asked other than "what address would you like them sent to?" As soon as I asked for them when I lost one of mine at the range. Pretty impressed with the customer service.

Allentown is the third largest city in Pennsylvania and my buddy there who has never shot at indoor ranges talked about sighting his rifle in at one and I told him there was no point because they only go to 25 yards. He tried finding one and there is none within an hour and a half before we gave up. By the way, that includes Philadelphia which is the nations 6th largest city. 25 yards keeps the challenge accessible to folks who are limited to indoor ranges.

Unfortunately PA public outdoor ranges have 3 rounds in the magazine rules that are HEAVILY enforced and other fud shit like 2 seconds between shots unlike Oklahoma ranges where the only rules were "Don't shoot the roof. Don't blow up the range with tannerite"Most folks don't want to go to 2 or 3 monthly meetings for the honor of paying $200 to join their local gun club either. If you got a nice local outdoor range without all the bs rules cherish it. Treat it like gold.

Just bought a 7.65 VZ 83 on gunbroker the other day. Looking at various forums on the Internet, 7.65 Browning is marginally different from .32 ACP. Apparently it's SAMMI vs. C.I.P. standards and the European proofed C.I.P. loads are more powerful than American SAMMI spec loads. Does this make a noticeable difference, or it it pretty negligible? What I was seeing was older European imports might fail to cycle properly with the lower powered ammo.

A bear will probably kill me because I didn't go with a .44 magnum instead
>>65395890Original price was like $800 btw
>>65395890That’s normal for trying to sell a gun to a gun store unless they really like you. The buyer has to take all the risk on trying to recoup their investment, you could shop around different stores for a better deal. They often get people who need the money badly so they take the low ball and the Gunstore can turn a big profit on it by reselling the gun at 600 (buying for 300). Often margins on brand new guns aren’t good since they have to compete with online sales, the margins are even worse if you account for the time the sales person tries to sell the gun to shmucks.Being a Gunstore and staying in business is really hard. The margins are way worse than any other store basically.
>>65395901Try selling it locally online, or finding a Gunstore that you can list it on consignment where they’ll sell it for you at X price then take a 15% or so percent cut, where they mail you a check since you moved. A few online auction houses do the same.

been thinking of buying my first snubby revolveris the Taurus 605 a solid choice?I'm not interested in 9mm for this one, so the ruger isn't on my radarwhat other brands do you recommend for a first timer? preferably something around the same size as the Taurus

>>65396377I've got a mount for an RMR just not on there. but a dedicated direct mount optic like that might be cooler.
Just got my first weapon light installed. Based on what an anon said a few threads ago, I found this on eBay for $34. After shipping I think it was $40 but it's really cool. Super bright, I wasn't expecting it to be so bright.
>>65396604WML's are largely solved, good job not getting scammed
>>65396612Thanks. I got a red dot for it recently too, but I have to remove the rear sight to install the adapter plate. I'll post this again when I inevitably get them off and the dot installed. Thinking about buying a sight pusher to get the job done.
>>65396623Sounds good
>>65396604those harbor freight lights often go for $60 so i wouldnt recommend getting that specific brand in used conditionbut if it works it worksi recommend saving up for a streamlight once this one either gets damaged or gives you problems, but its unlikely to do so any time soon
>>65396669It was brand new in the packaging. Had to tear up the cardboard to get it it.
>>65396684People are holding the bag with lights of yours output, quality, and durability but x3+ the price. Sour grapes are bound to happen. WML's are a solved technology
>>65395949The weight definitely is an issue. But it is still over all pretty bulky when you have a tiny frame.
>>65396699What? I don't understand what you're saying. What people are holding what bag in regards to the braun 1000 lumen wml? What do you mean it's solved? I don't get it.
>>65396710Let me break it down for you son.Imagine a hamburger, now imagine it in a bland paper bag. It will cost you 2 dollars.Still with me?Now imagine a hamburger, now imagine it in a cool looking bag and people around saying "this is the only hamburger I trust to fill me up, it's the best out there". It costs 15$Now imagine those two hamburgers have experiments and tests showing that they both taste and "fill up" a person's stomach the exact same. You would be upset if you spent 15$ while people are getting the exact same quality and performance for 2$That anger is known as sour grapes. In the mid 2000's you did need to spend money for a good light, nowadays WML's are a solved aspect of firearms
>>65396724What about the fable of the slave who saved two coins on a vase and his owner was distraught and had the vase destroyed? Sometimes, things are with the cost.
>>65396728True in the 2000's brotherman, get with the times. China caught up
>>65396724Sour grapes is more fitting to the people who can only afford the $2 burger making false arguments that its the same as the $15 burger btw.

I have fired my ppk 1000 times now, got through my bulk ammo brick. My conclusion; this gun fucking sucks and is going back under the glass.
>>65396877The PPK is everyone's favorite handgun until they pull the trigger (just like the USP)
>>65396884incredibly disappointing, given that it feels great in the hand and despite the gun fighting me when I fire it; it's very accurate for a small gun. It just fucking sucks.
>>65396877It's a gun from the 1930s anonMy great grandpa (born 1893) was in his late 30s when this thing came out. It's an antiquated design and obviously there's better designs from recent times.I like mine but I know it's outdated
>>65396894I presumed it to be similar to the 1911 in that despite being outdated it would still be a fun range toy. I owned a 1911 and it was a pleasure to shoot and the shortcomings were easy to overlook. I cannot overlook just how unpleasant this firearm is to use.
>>65395968trying to monetize/minmax/be competitive with your hobbies is the one surefire way to make sure that you hate everything good in your life

They sold 20 more since last night. Niggers first optic. Probably be a week before it gets to me>>65395048 they fucking are scales, picrel, feels like velcro armed with nigger knives lol. My cousin has a G19 Roland Special build and his 320$ stippling job isn't as aggressive as this. He says I'm spoiled with this gun so I'm being careful with what I buy. Need mags, extensions and a well>>65395214Comp will get painted black eventually but ill ask my local cerkote shop about matching the pattern, the gas pedal folds for use in most holsters and it works in both Phlster Floodlight holsters. They do help with recoil dampening. I have a bone stock M&P 1.0 and I used to press my support thump into the takedown lever to dampen recoil and ran circles around some .22 shooters at a local amateurs race. so glad i never watched a james bond movie so i will never fall for the shitty ppk meme
>>65397407I wondered how long it would take someone to notice. An error in manufacturing perhaps, or perhaps not because the cut in the pistol made 30 years prior to the mount also has a similar slant to it. It bothered me too but don't worry, I corrected it. And also added bolstering set screws front and rear for stability
>>65397465does it wiggle if u push down in the front of the mount?
>>65397351>.32more irritated that it can't get through a box of ammo without a fail to feed. Way too prissy for what I paid.
>>65397485No. It wouldn't even without the set screws because it's pulled tight by the mounting screws under the optic. But it doubly can't wiggle after I put the set screws in (the green things under the rail), they push against the receiver where it hangs in open air, front and rear. No wiggle possible
>>65396229Welcome. Youre right to concern the colder US bought ammo but the gun doesn't care, mine never did no matter what brand of 9x18 i put thru it. I've since safequeened it and bought the .380 version. I'm not spending 25$ a box on mouse gun shit
