I'm looking for the absolute most brutal grippy texture for an OWB 1911. I believe it's pic related, "Stipple". Operator III has this texture near the front and "slants" on the back, looks like a good combination.

Doesn't matter one bit.
>What's wrong with Radian
Extra weight, concussion, and possible reduced reliability are not worth it to slightly reduce the already very tame 9mm.
>>
>>65406641
Purple is probably exactly what I want, I didn't know that existed thanks anon.

Also it will fire with the safety engaged. Which should probably be concerning but for a range/target pistol... Ehhhh?
>>

>PSA Dagger
Oh, so you're low info. I understand. Nothing wrong with that, but just know you're going to make bad choices.
>>
>>65406703
Thank you.
>>
>>65406708
Yeah, thats strange. As long as you don't intend on leaving it cocked and locked, it should be fine.
Still, maybe look into that and figure out what internal parts could be broke.
>>
>>65406709
We all had to start somewhere. Sold it and got my money back with experience.
>>
>>65406713
At some point I'll figure out how to do a full detail strip and make sure nothing is broken. It's not like the safety doesn't work at all, it locks the slide and the trigger, but when you put force on the trigger, and then release, the hammer drops.

Super weird.

>>65406708
>Purple is probably exactly what I want,
While Purple Loctite is correct for small screws, I'd recommend Vibra-tite since it is designed to be unscrewed and re-screwed a few times before it needs to be reapplied. You can kinda do the same with purple loctite, but getting it all off and restarting fresh is more of a pain.

With recent events, I wanted to practice shooting at longer ranges, and I'm pretty satisfied for 40 yards. Squeezing the capability out of tiny guns is fun, belly gun my ass.
>>
>>65406771
don't sell yourself short, that's excellent for 40 yards with that gun.
>>
>>65406771
Assuming you fired 2 cylinders total and have 10+maybe a keyhole? On a man sized target I'd say that's as good as it needs to be
>>
>>65406771
How do you like the feel of the lcr? I’ve got a decent amount of other revolvers but haven’t held one of those in person and they’re interesting.
>>
>>65406781
It's not a keyhole, but that worried me at first. There's just no more cardboard backing left in that spot and the paper is tearing around the bullet hole.

Those boot grips start getting a little uncomfortable after an extended range session, but the factory grips help it shoot even more like a larger revolver while still somewhat fitting in a pocket. It has almost ruined my other revolvers because I have only wanted to use my .38 ammo on the LCR ever since I got it.
>>
what if there was a doo doo gun lmao that shot poop haha
>>
>just discovered the concept of visual discipline in handgun shooting
Turns out that if you focus on the spot you want to hit, the gun will go there when you present it. I feel retarded, but honestly it's not that intuitive. I was looking at the target, but I wasn't focusing on the spot I wanted to hit. Made all the difference.

NTA. The tab didn't save him because he pulled the trigger as he was drawing. There is/was no mechanical fault. The tab worked, but that doesn't help when you finger the trigger while point the gun at yourself.
>I just take offense to Wyoming fag because his """discovery""" is just how strikerslop works
You are correct here. That "test" was flawed, retarded and pointless.

No, see pic. That disclaimer doesn't appear on every Glock afterburner/ramjet model description, but it is not clear if that is because it doesn't apply to every model, or if it is a copy/paste omission. It is going to work best on 124 +Pish, or heavier loads. That is in terms of reliability and muzzle flip reduction.

a .22 is more deadly than a .44 magnum because the bullet bounces around
>>
>>65407649
I bought one at the end of June and posted it here. HK uses the same mags since the USP 9 compact, meaning P30/VP9 mags fit and are usable in the P2000 be it the 15, 17, 18 or 20-rounders and whatever the hell else they make. You'll maybe want to pick up a magsleeve spacer to cover the extra length, and you can change the P2000's swoopy ledge thing out with a flat one so it isn't much harder to conceal if you want to. It's my favorite HK of them all and of course that means it's discontinued. I've bought five 13-rounders for it and already have roughly 20 others of varying sizes for my old VP9.

I have some stupid questions.

>what do you do with your targets while not using them? the lanes are pretty cramped
>if I go to the counter to buy another target, do I need to pack up my stuff and bring it with me, or can I leave it in the lane?
>>
>>65408285
forgot one
>How may handguns do you bring to the range at a time?
I need to start practicing with the intent to get better instead of just blasting
>>
>>65408285
1. It’s much cheaper to buy your own targets. I get these 36 x 24 targets for 38 cents each by buying them online.
2. I either keep them rolled up on my range bag
3. If you can leave your stuff there but it makes me uncomfortable to do so. If you bring all your own targets you can avoid this logistical nightmare

>>
>>65408287
>1. My carry gun. ABC, always be carrying
>2. I bring at least two other guns to the range. Sometimes they can share the same holster but I’ve switched holsters at the range before.

Shooting to get better doesn’t mean you don’t have to shoot fun guns. Shooting to get better is easy as trying to be accountable for every round: you know where it went. You do this by changing targets or pasting holes in your target often, shooting in smaller strings of fire, having preset drills you practice
>slowfire: practicing pure accuracy
>doubles: testing your recoil “control” (rather your input), you shoot the second round as soon as you either see your sights back on target, or prediction when you think you’re back on target. If you can do this due to no rapid fire, then practice bringing your sights back down onto target as fast as possible, but try to prevent overshooting.
>bill drill: advanced drill. really fun but this drill tests your grip. You shoot 6 rounds as fast as you can. The goal is all 6 rounds into the A zone of a USPSA target. Goal is sub 2.0 from a draw, 1.5 from the low ready. There’s a few variations of this drill but it’s a very important one since training only doubles or single shots will leave training scars when you try to shoot more aggressively.
>>
>>65408285
>bring your own targets
No, when I just want to go indoor range I buy a couple targets from them. They're not super expensive and it keeps them happy that you're spending money with them.
>while not using them
Put them on the shelf below the stall.
>do I need to pack up my stuff
Just leave it in the lane. If somebody steals your shit there will be actual hell to pay. Indoor ranges don't fuck around with that stuff. t. was just at one on Friday.

I remember a few years ago reading a post of an anon who had his staccato P stolen at an outdoor range during a cease fire when he was pasting his target. Literally the only culprits could have been the range staff. This was a long ass time ago though.
>>
>>65408317
At modern day ranges, every stall has a camera on it. Good for keeping your stuff safe, potentially bad for other reasons. If the range downplays a gun being stolen that's when you call the police, contact the ATF, etc. A stolen gun is a big deal. Just hopefully it's not something that becomes an issue for you as well when it is found.
>>
>>65408323
Yeah I’m trying to remember the story if it was even real since that’s a genuine reason to go full chimp out. There is the potential it was stolen before the ceasefire by a guy “packing up to leave”.

No doubt that can happen, especially with an expensive firearm, but if he didn't chimp out that's a red flag. A stolen firearm, used in a crime, traced back to you - you will get a knock on the door from the glownigs asking why a gun tied to you was used in a crime.

Yes. Bring targets with your political opponents on them so the staff and patrons know that you're based and redpilled.
>what do you do with your targets while not using them? the lanes are pretty cramped
Hold the targets under an armpit while shooting. There's no room for them anywhere else.
>if I go to the counter to buy another target, do I need to pack up my stuff and bring it with me, or can I leave it in the lane?
Just ask the person in the lane next to you to watch your stuff. Same as when you go to the bathroom (unless your range has urinal lanes).

Indoor ranges are in cities so one of the ways they make revenue to stay open against draconian regulation and taxes is by forcing you to buy targets and/or ammo at exorbitant prices, so be aware that's more likely than not. Call and ask if you can use your own. Otherwise yeah bring your own, you'll find ones you like better I'm sure and they will absolutely be cheaper
Put them on the bench, put guns and mags on top of them. Or fold and leave in bag at your feet
The last one is probably range-specific, they all have their own rules. But most if not all indoor ranges I've been to, only if you are leaving the shooting room you have to clear your station. You should be able to walk back to your bag on the seats/staging area to retrieve things. Again check your range's rules

Yes with an if. YT-DLP seems to have a list of domains that it blacklists from downloading. They made that change many years ago. You can take this restriction off with a bit of modding or forking, but it's far more annoying than it should be. At any rate, I think the challenge on Insta is actually finding the link to grab. I just tested JDownloader and it doesnt crawl reels automatically (not I wasn't logged in). I'll test yt-dlp and come back with some notes. IIRC there's at least an insta module for yt dlp.

That did cross my mind. Though at the same time, I'm sure I would want it to be eventually usable in some sense. Not to derail too much from /hg/ but the biggest problem with land purchasing is trying to be within decent driving distance of where you might currently be. Who said anything about a house nigga? A trailer, a shed, a tent, an urt, a hut. All easily feasible. You can just make an adobe house dirt cheap in certain places. I’ll probably ask again in the next thread but should I get a sig p365 or a Glock or a Taurus for my first CC? I live in a sketchy area and like to go on walks at 2-4am.

Seems like the most simple hard to fuck up option. I do not like that it has no safety. Heard you can customize it a lot but idk what that means, only customization I think I’d want at first is a laser and maybe a red dot
>sig
I do not like what I’ve heard about misfires or whatever but they seem cool.
>Taurus
Cheap, good warranty policy, but I have heard it’s 50/50 either a lemon or it’s fine and a solid choice
This will sound dumb but idk how or where else to ask this. How the fuck do I aim? I have cross dominance. Right handed but right eye is mostly ignored by my brain so I’m left eye dominant, due to some strabismus in the right eye. When I’ve practiced at ranges or with BB guns (hand guns and rifles both have this issue for me) I’m off by a lot. Typically up and to the left and when I try to compensate it’s then just up and to the right. I mean literally what am I supposed to be doing with the irons, putting front sight over where I want to hit or just below it or what and how do I solve this cross dominance issue? Cheek weld did fuck all when I tried that. Trying to shoot left handed didn’t change much either. Is it a matter of adjusting sights or what?

Any would be a good choice for different reasons. Do you prioritize ease of carry, shootability, or price (respectively)? Only the P320 has 'uncommanded discharge' controversy, nothing else they make, and the lemon rate on Taurus is tiny, nowhere near half. How could any company stay in business if 1 out of every 2 products they make doesn't work?

For cross eye dominance you will have to learn one of three awkward ways to shoot. Either hold the gun to the non-dominant sideso it lines up with your eye (fine), or sheboon-slide your head over towards your dominant hand side to line up with the irons (fine). Nutnfancy does a combination of the two and looks corny af no cap. Or brute force using your non-dominant eye for long enough that it becomes intuitive which is the hardest (best). Either way good luck

You can get the barrel by itself. I haven't really tried for groups with it but it's not particularly accurate. Americans want three things, cold beer, warm pussy, and a place to shit with a door on it. Don't want the dog looking at you.

/k/ help me find the gayest possible firearm to keep in my vehicle. That way, if I accidentally cut someone off in traffic, and as revenge they fraudulently tell the police I pointed a gun at them, causing the police to flip out and go DEFCON 5 ...I can at least know that the 911 operator will have asked the lying fuckheads, "what did the gun look like" and they will have said, "it was black" and then when the cops find my gun, it'll be obvious I didn't actually point it at anyone because it's so incredibly gay that my life would have to be in true peril for me to admit to owning it.
