OP your pic is so fucking old she's plowed through the wall and is on her way to Moscow by now.
>>65431132do you have a more recent pic of her?
Looking for a new 2 piece belt. Thoughts on the ferro bora belt?
>>65431165They're all pretty much going to be the same. $224 is stupid expensive for a 2 piece belt. It'll work for what you want, but god damn.
>>65431097What's a good comm plan? Currently have two baofengs that never get used, but don't know where to get started for better comms, and find people to chat with over the air. >>65431176Pretty much this, barring design differences they all do the same basic thing which is hold gear and pants. You could save a few bucks getting a Ronin or AWS instead and put those savings toward ammo desu
>>65431097For some reason, I was hoping op died overniht.
>>65431294>What's a good comm plan? You need to write a PACE plan for local, regional and national comms.Local: Primary: cellphones, alternative: landlines, contingency: baofengs on simplex GMRS, emergency: Meshcore or meshtastic. And so on. Some more braindump:Regional: Baofengs or something more higher powered (mobile radio) over an off-grid(!) GMRS or amateur radio repeater (need license). and/or NVIS HF comms over SSB for even longer rangesNational: shortwave with digital modes or starlink>don't know where to get started for better commsEven if GMRS could cover most of your needs, get an amateur radio license that allows you to access the 40m band.> find people to chat with over the airmost boring shit ever. I got comms out the ass but I don't talk to boomers, unless I wanted to off myself through boredom. If you don't have one, pick up a dedicated radio scanner and start scanning CB and GMRS and business frequencies. SIGINT is as important as being able to reach out with comms, and you will learn a lot about radio too. It's 2026, make sure you get something computer programmable.

Reposting from a few threads ago since it's a good list:>Cheapest III+Protech 2150-5s are 200$ a pair from Hudson gunner coming in at 5.8lbs 10x12>Want lighter plates?Hesco 3611Cs (expired warranty) and L211 are around 400$ on tacswap right now.>Want level 4?Paraclete 9900x are 5ish lbs and are going for 400-500 on tacswap. You can also luck out on a pair of ESAPIs that fell of a truck for around the same price.>cheap IVYou can get Paraclete 10079s from Botach for $200 if you need cheap IV too. Superior to the 2014Gs Hudsongunner has.https://surplus.botach.com/point-blank-paraclete-100079-level-iv-triple-curve-torso-armor-plate-10-x-12-shooter-s-cut-police-trade/
>>65431016>This is now /cmg/ (chinkmaxxing general)Everywhere is like that. Even reddit is embracing dollar-maximizing strategies, like knockoff qore ventilation pads, knockoff shoulder pads, and more.
>>65431741>Any pointers on a manpack for HF work?Unless you wanna spend big bucks on a military one (RF-7800-M can be had for well >10k, barrett or codan are about 5-10k *IF* you can find them):Xiegu G90 is hard to beat for the price, there is a guy on Facebook making a 3D-printed manpack enclosure for it, but he hasn't finished it yet. Don't know if he'll make the file available or sell pre-printed bits though. But 20W is plenty for NVIS SSB up to 100-200 miles, further out if you use digital. But Xiegu is a bit like Baofeng, so you might just want to get another one as a spare. There are 3D-printed manpack enclosures for the FT-891 as well, or readymade pelicases where you bolt it in. With the 891 you'll need an antenna tuner as well, or you're stuck using just the bandwidth provided by the resonant dipoles you make. Get a NanoVNA or Mini60 antenna analyser and learn to make your own, and learn how different antenna/wire configurations affect the SWR (horizontal vs. Inverted V-dipole and so on.But with all of these DIY thingies, the face of the radio generally isn't waterproof at all, and the set as a whole aren't as dropproof either. The PRC-320 is another military alternative, albeit rather heavy and a bong radio.Never really understood the attention for a VHF/UHF manpack.Learn to use VOACAP and learn which frequency bands you'll need to reach your desired destinations for the entire year and in a few years when the solar cycle changed again. You need to understand NVIS through and through, if that is the distance you want to cover. DX-ing is easy enough, just piss in the wind and someone will always piss back, from wherever that'll be.
>>65431097I-is that....a....a w-WOMAN?!?!?? *gulp* Well, I would normally ignore your gay threads but now, you have my attention! Lol! Ha ha ha!!!!!!!!!
>>65431165I personally dislike how the running tail portion on the male end is unsupported. I find that it tends to force that side of the belt downward off the velcro over time, especially if you mount a pistol to that side. What are you intending on carrying on the belt and how long do you think you’ll wear it at a time? It is a pretty thin and lightweight option so that might be a pro for you.
>>65431846>What are you intending on carrying on the beltSidearm, 2 pistol mags, 1 rifle mag, dump pouch, tq and an ifak. >how long do you think you’ll wear it at a time? Most of the day. I've been using a 40$ knockoff senshi for a while before the velcro started to wear out. A bit thick and got uncomfortable but it was alright.>lightweight optionsDo the Jews at agilite make good belts? The magnetix looks pretty good. Also looking at AXL and DefMech belts.
>>65431768>still a meme, autists have trouble seeing the difference between me and realityit's like the retards that bought Mosins at $400+ because they were memed into thinking they were actually good gunThe difference is that Gilliam makes solid armor and has test reports to prove it, all the while delivering better product than RMA and vastly undercutting Hesco. The 1635 is really in a position to kill the 4403 if it can get certified. The fact he doesn't pay a guy full time to shill on reddit (hi RMA) doesn't mean his shit is unpopular. He's sold thousands of plates total over the years.

>>65431097I want to buy some camo pants for work, because they're comfy and have extra pockets. Anyone have suggestions for a good vendor? There aren't any local places that sell milsurp gear near me (in the US)
>>65432631Having owned a set of 1155s, I am very tempted to just get a GARMS 3 set since I already have soft armor in my old issue PC. 8+ lbs a plate fucking sucks
>>65432761I would take a look on ebay for surplus BDU pants, plentiful and cheap
>>65432631> RMA is cringeFor me it's when they clowned on Highcom for mysteriously small plates, and then turned around and did the exact same thing themselves!
>>65431753I fully get it now. Why would I spend 70 dollars on a Spiritus SPUD when I can get the exact same thing for 16 bucks? The prices are inordinate for what your are actually getting, there's no fucking way a little bit of extra QA/QC and more stitching qualifies for 2 tanks worth of gas for one single pouch. I know I sound like a poorfag, but it's frustrating when I try to get my friends to buy the bare minimum for gear and guns and they shy away because of the cost.
>>65432837Don't half of those memebrands make their products in US prisons anyway? $70 bucks and they're paying Tyrone a sweatshop wage.
>>65432837part of it is material cost, part of it is paying a wage to the people that work at the US companies, and part of it is the actual innovation and development. If you chose to buy chinese knockoffs because of your financial situation, more power to you. But it’s more than qa/qc that is driving the costs, while some items may be “just as good” for your uses, you do need to experiment a little and find the gold amongst the shit. I know a lot of people will default to NIR compliance, but beyond that I’ve had chinese chest rigs made of fabric that ended up bleeding and fading once it got wet, the browns of the multicam turned a weird pink color and the dye discolored my other equipment and clothing. On top of that, some items come with hardware that seems alright, others come with really cheap buckles/cordlocks/snap fasteners, etc. that wore out or got fucky pretty fast. Some of those are easy to replace, some aren’t. At the end of the day, you can decide it’s not worth it to pay the markup. But there are reasons beyond these companies just trying to heeb you out of your money that items are priced the way they are.
>>65432846no.>>65432837>the exact same thing>except not
>>65432795It doesn't help those 8.3lb plates have lost to a second hit of .308 twice and by definition are no longer Level IV, because they lost cert.Basically over 8lb for a probably B-32 API / M80A1 single strike lame-o. I know I'm beating the horse to a pulp, but engineering a totally made in america Level IV for $200 a set or less NEW requires major corner cutting. Saw it with the 1155, saw it with the 4SAS4.There. Is. No. Free. Lunch.>GARMS 3Are you positive the old soft armor is up for the job? that's an ICW HG2 plate.>>65432810Only a year passed between them doing a 180 on that issue. Ridiculous shifty behavior.
>>65432795Also, if you're brave to trust a do-not-drop plate, might I interest you in a pair of Paraclete 2518s from Botach Surp over the GARMS 3s?0.5lb heavier a plate, but good for 3x M2AP / 3x 70gr 5.56 tungsten AP, per DocGKR, and are more flexible with soft armor since they're 0101.04 and ergo designed for use with older, crappier panels. The problem with the GARMS 3s is that you need to use modern 0101.07 HG2, which is significantly more robust than 0101.04 which had no real conditioning protocol. The GARMS 3 plates are also not that proven in the multi-hit department, but Doc's spacing was wide so that could even out.https://surplus.botach.com/paraclete-10x12-armor-plates-2-pcs-nij-level-iiia-2518-police-trade/I might grab a pair myself as backups.
>>65431846Nice gear stand.
My competitors are Hesco and a 20 year old Ceradyne. My equals are unequal. In the shade of autism, they said the 4800LV could never be mogged. In the land of highcum and strikers, they said RMA could never be humbled. In the realm of fed-infested discords, they said Ceradyne could never be tamed. Now they flip cheap ass Protechs for $200 a set. They meme me; like a $3,000/set force of nature, a dealer in Level IV protection for 9.1lb a pair or 4.55lb a plate. I say, “I am ADEPT.” I am... EMPEROR.>https://www.ade.pt/product/emperor/>cue the musichttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EJA5mSK53YI
Here's Adept's lineup refresh for 2026. The Level IV+ Archon is interestingly now 5.2lb down from 5.7lb. Colossus is now slightly heavier than it was at 6.55lb.
>>65433089That's my biggest hesitation with ICW plates is that I can't verify the soft panels, there are no tags or patches at all that give any detail, I've looked several times. If anyone has a leed on the USMC gen II PC soft armor panels and who made them I'd love to know. I know these PCs went out to FMF sometime in the early to mid 2010's, and have only recently been upgraded with gen IIIs, no clue if the soft armor was updated too.
how long until I can order an alibaba cloak with disco paneling to stop ai targeting systems?
>>65433350This is why ICW plates aren't so popular these days. Sometimes they perform real poorly without soft armor too. Pic unrelated.
>>65433628Picrel is military equipment in 2036.
