the .45 2011 with 12 rounds is lighter than a single stack .45 1911 with 9

Old slide design in general was better. Everything since 2020 looks like they let highschool kids in shop class do all the work, down to the Call of Duty font.

Why is the price of the CZ P-10C going up? I see it priced at damn near 400 dollars. Almost 500 in some places.

I’m using a shortened 120mm mag, with the standard 126mm mag it’s 11 officially, 12 if you push really hard or get a different baseplate, or 14 if you get a different follower and base pad

Bro these posts about that game n store make me jealous as hell. None of the gun stores around me sell anything for a deal. My regular store/range sells used stuff at a general market value but rarely if ever an actual underpriced deal
>>
What should I add to the collection next?
>Glock 17.5 (for home defense and duty applications)
>CZ-75 Compact (EDC)
>Walther PDP Pro-X (bought for competition use, but still need to get gud at handgun shooting)

I never see any of the more strange variations of Rock Island 1911s. I remember them having a ton on their site.
just checked. they still do
They have a double stack 10mm long slide. That's pretty cool. I kind of want one of their officer's model 1911s.
>>
>>65435549
Well you have three fairly large 9mm handguns (I don't count the CZ-75 Compact as an actual compact). If you want a different caliber, you could buy a gun in .45 like a 1911. You could buy a revolver and learn an entirely different MOA.

Personally, I'd recommend a CSX-E as you don't need to spend money on a new cartridge, you learn SAO and you have a more practical carry gun

Just acquired a cz75 compact and it's pretty outstanding. I have large hands and it still feels a little small like most any compact but the weight of it makes it feel like it shoots similar to a full size poly gun.
But the walther... Man, the walther is something else. The Pro X has an exceptional trigger

How do you like yours? I love my P01, probably the best all around handgun for my purposes.
>>
>>65435628
I think the P-01 is an awesome pistol and a lot more folks would be passionate about shooting if they started with it instead of whatever polymer striker 9 the guy behind the bass pro counter reccomend they get for thier first pistol.

Unfortunately I own no CZ pistols, that was just a rental. How is the inforce light?

>>65435546
Yeah it's a gem of a store. So far Apotheon, Big Boys guns and range in OKC, and Modern Sportsman in Coon Rapids Minnesota are my favorites across the country, and I've been to a LOT of guns stores and ranges. If any of yall reading this are near any of the ones I listed go check em out.

Through the 4ish years I've posted here I can remember one SAR9 and two Stoger 9mm posters in the hg threads. They seemed to like them, the stoger poster even claimed to have 1500 rounds through his without issue. I think that the problem is the overlap of the kind of person who buys a $180 Stoger 9mm at academy and the kind of person who is so passionate about handguns they talk about them here is nearly nonexistent.

Now that I'm well into my 30's, I'm getting a strange urge to buy a Ruger Blackhawk, a reloading setup, and the powder and projectiles needed to make some pissing hot .45 Colt loads...

Is this worth pursuing? Anyone with experience in this type of thing? What the hell would I do with them outside of shooting bears/sasquatch?

I wish S&W gets so good again that they put "44 magnum" engraving in the middle of the barrel

Do you think Colt’s are actually worth the price? Honestly I have a Pietta, and if feels alright I guess. I can’t see paying over 3x as much just for the name- unless American manufacturing is somehow 3x better than Italian.

That's a fine pistol you have there. Other than the aesthetic defects, does it shoot still? I was embarrassed to post this better picture because of the rust, but fuck it, why not?

>>65435237
I liked it so much I bought it twice.
>>
>>65435787
My advice is don’t ball out on the reloading setup until you know you like it. If you start simple you can still put that equipment to use later if you decide to upgrade.
>>
>>65435812
i thought the legend was cool but seeing them side by side like that really shows the inaccuracies in its reproduction
>>
>>65435812
It’s safe to assume you’re not the original owner and the rust was already there.
>>
>>65435812
My broomhandle still shoots fine, just needed the mainspring replaced. every other part is seemingly original to the gun

CZ has a history of fucking up the 75 short rail. The retro had the scallop cut in the slide to look like the short rail, but still had full length rails running alongside the frame. Terrible move.

Will strikerslop manufacturers finally listen to consumers about lack of grip on the upper portion of the support hand side now that gen 6 glocks released with it? It's ridiculous that I still need to slap skateboard tape on 80% of my guns. Honestly I probably still would I've learned to love the grippyness but people should be getting a grip that works by default in late 2026 man.

Does anybody still sell IWB holsters for the S&W model 39? The only holsters I have that fit it are a galco combat master and a bianchi m12, and open carrying anywhere outside of the woods makes me very nervous
